Was played by James Arness,most famous for playing Marshall Matt Dillon for 20 years on Gunsmoker

and the Alien from I Married a Monster from Outer Space

were Played by Charles Gemora,who also designed and made the costumes and whose initial career was playing Gorillas and apes from the 20's to the 40's

The Swimming Gill Man from Creature of the Black Lagoon trilogy

Played by Ricou Browning who was the last surviving Universal Monster and fun fact co created Flipper

Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet

Cyberman Controler from the Doctor Who serial Tomb of the Cybermen

Played by Michael Kilgarriff who also adapted the novel ,The Hobbitt into a radio series

Moon Watcher from 2001 a Space Odyssey

Played by mime Daniel Richter,a friend of John Lennons

But there is a king of classic monmster performers who protrayed

The robot Gort was played by Lock Martin who was reported to be seven feet and seven inches tall. The costume was made from foamed neoprene. The suit was suppose to be seamless. To accomplish that on film, two versions were made - one with closures on the back, the other with closures on the front.
