not me thinking about duncan being forced to create keys using the intentions of others and never his own (memory key was for rendell and his friends to use, demon key was for dodge) and him using the power of the demon key for good instead of for its intended purpose (commanding the demons to attack dodge) and him telling tyler that the power of the keys can be reshaped and and--

i genuinely don’t think the locke and key netflix writers considered how some of the changes they made to the source would make certain characters ( the keepers, to name a few ) look unsympathetic

but i do. so i will yap about it

what’s funny about my headcanons for duncan is like. i looked at that man and said “fuck it. give him superpowers.”

locke and key characters in gravity falls au…….

duncan already lives in gravity falls and nina sends tyler, kinsey and bode to stay with him after rendell dies because keyhouse needs repairs still / it’s a closer move from seattle

erin holding herself completely responsible for what happened to duncan (she says “I can’t live knowing I did that to duncan” instead of saying “we” including the other keepers) when she was not the only person in that room who could have talked to rendell, and wanting to give his memories back herself despite knowing he would be hostile towards her presence / being there when tyler fixes his memories again despite duncan objecting to her being there….
