They held the closed locket tight to their chest, tracing the intricate, angular designs with their thumb. Then... They opened the locket. A man flung out onto the carpet, sputtering, coughing. He had bags under his wild, frazzled eyes. He mumbled to himself, words too low to hear. They bent down to listen closer, when he gripped at their clothes and pleaded, "Please, don't- I don't want to be put back in there. I hate the silence, please don't-" And then he was gone. Pulled back inside the fuzzy, swirling mess of magic. Leaving them all to wonder what to do.
