Lockpicks came in via the post today, along with the practice lock. It's really interesting!
Managed, I guess, out of sheer dumb luck, to pick open the lock and extract the keys. But the way I thought to do it wasn't the right way to do it, so now it's going to be me trying to figure out how I did it right he first time. At least the practice lock is transparent, so that helps me figure out which pin I've set, and what over-setting and under-setting look like.
I've read the Locksports International Primer, and it looks like the operating principles are fairly straightforward??? It's really interesting, folks.
Plus the lockpick set is surprisingly cheap — less than MYR 100 on Lazada? But it comes in a nice faux-leather pouch. It probably needs more sanding and smoothing before it'd work better, but, like I said... I managed to bump-unlock the practice lock with dumb luck and futzing around. I was surprised, too!
Anyway. That's something to do when bored, I guess.
