I was wondering, do you think you will participate in the big bang or other collab fandom event ?
The funny thing is, I’ve never actually done a big bang!
(Unless the Evanstan one that kind of failed to launch [I think only me and maybe one other person finished our fic, my artist never finished their piece - nor did anyone else’s I think - and the organizers weren’t terribly organized, and it sort of fizzled out] counts.)
I’m always a little unsure about committing to something that length that far in advance - of course I generally end up writing long fic *looks at everything ever and laugh/cries* - but that’s not usually planned ahead of time, and especially these days, when I’m also balancing original fic and my own fic and such, I don’t feel like I can commit for sure, and I’d hate to let anyone down! But if there was something short and lighthearted, I might be in?
Having said that, I’ve, er, run the Evanstan Round Robin Collective Fic Party Thing for the last two years. (And before that, I did something similar to that and also, with help, the Autumn Extravaganza for the McFassy fandom, and I used to do Secret Mutant and so on.) So I guess I *do* participate in fandom events, kind of?
By the way, someone else can run this year’s Evanstan Round Robin, if they want? Last year ended up being stressful for at least three separate unrelated-to-each-other reasons (at least one of which had to do with my own horrible organizational skills and late timing; not a comment on the fandom or the people!) and I don’t really want to organize it again. I’ll totally play along and write a chapter and participate! I just don’t want to run it and be In Charge. I think, back then, @marciellaniello expressed some interest in taking over, so, sure, if that’s still true, have at it! Or if anyone else wants to, come let me know and we’ll chat. :D
