Meet Miss Adelaide de Loftarasa, a young (?) Brightvalean maiden.
Once a young princess of 15th century Brightvale, she was arranged to marry a vain, slobbish and cruel Meridellian prince.
The night after the marriage -and after a heated argument with her husband- she fled and cried alone in the gardens. That was the moment she was lured by a floating gleam into the misty bogs, where she fell in the waters - never to return.
Her emotional turmoil when she gave her last breath transformed her into an undyne - a shackled spirit of someone who drowned. Centuries later, her sobs can still be heard, alongside wedding bells, by those who dare enter the bogs on the anniversary of the day she fell down.
