you can batch this with my last post if you like blog owner, i just separated them as the themes were so different. But, my mind keeps coming back to that bush post the last few days ago. I know that gif and I did watch Lambs of God so its so easily identifiable to me. But the poster implying people in the industry? or other people could identify Sam's bush had me a little confused lol.

When the gig was posted on X, people were asking whose bush it was. And some queer Aussie men said they knew whose it was. Later they deleted their tweets.

And this started long before Lambs of God or the now-infamous gif that seems to go viral every week. Some of the details people shared back then were oddly specific, and Sam wasn’t even on the radar like that. So why make it up? For what?

And can we talk about the Twitter replies under that gif? “Oh, I know who that is,” just based on that alone. And none of that raised even one eyebrow for y’all?”

I feel I’m the dark on these posts, can someone link to said gifs?

Let's be clear on this topic: Sam Reid has never needed anyone's help when it comes to acting or getting a job. His talents, his education, and experiences speaks for itself. He graduated at the top of his class from one of Britain's most prestigious performance schools, and immediately had job offers. He has now worked on THREE continents! He also has siblings in the industry but he has never used his connections to get any jobs.

Even though he has other interests, like ranching, he continued to work on his acting skills. He didn't take 5-8 years off. He even worked during Covid. I understand defending Pip, if you're a fan but please let's be reasonable because why isn't her family helping her get acting jobs? 🤷🏼‍♀️

But honestly, if it were true that she has connections or even relatives in the industry, then why wouldn’t they have helped her first? I mean, if she really had an uncle or some family member in the business, usually you’d favor your own family before anyone else…

For Lambs of God, they could’ve easily cast her as Sister Carla — she actually would have fit the role quite well — and yet…

Her parents certainly don't appear to have industry connections. In the article in the Sydney Morning Herald from August 10, 2025, that was quoted and linked here before, it says:

"„Born and raised in Richmond, in inner Melbourne, Northeast attended Steiner schools where she recalls playing Peter Pan at age 13. “Any creative inkling that I have has been fostered from that stream of education,” she says. Her mum, Polly, is an English teacher, and her dad, Mark, is an accountant. She is close with her older siblings, Sam and Bridget, and has two younger sisters from her father’s second marriage.“

Her dad seems to be a partner/Executive Director in the Tax Consulting division of Pitcher Partners. So he is not working as an accountant for a production company or something like that. Her sisters Bridget and Bella work as producers on the podcast "The Imperfects" (https://www.theimperfects.com.au/about/) - again nothing that suggests any industry connection. As to her brother, I am not sure what he is doing professionally, because there seem to be more than one men with the same name. But from what I could find, no hint to an industry connection.

And to make it clear, I got to know all of this "interesting" information against my will.

Honestly, that just sounds like the same kind of malicious Twitter gossip that gets thrown at him constantly. I don’t know what this mild mannered, keeps-to-himself guy has done to deserve the sometimes intense level of trolling he gets but it’s really fucking weird.

Sam has worked consistently for over a decade and held multiple lead roles. It’s Pip who’s had gaps in her career, and she very openly benefited from her connection to TNR when things slowed down. And that’s fine, people use their networks all the time, but let’s at least be honest about who actually needed the boost. Because if she truly had an industry relative backing her from the start, she wouldn’t have had a multi year resume gap (no you can’t blame Covid for that because Sam did multiple projects during Covid) or needed the visibility that came from being linked to TNR in the first place.

It just doesn’t add up, and the narrative feels more like spite than fact.
