Thinking about Logan letting you groom his facial hair.
A/n: this is my first oneshot in probably 10 years…. I’m a bit rusty but I hope u likes :3333
Logan was always quite particular about his hair, not even just the hair on the tops of his head, but mutton chops were his pride and joy. They were his staple, he’s not wolverine without the iconic hair and chop combo.
Which is why it took you by surprise when one early Saturday morning, laying in bed tangled together your hand lazily playing with his facial hair. You had jokingly asked to trim his beard for him, “I’m feeling more hair than usual on the chin of yours.” You said pushing yourself up to straddle him, getting a closer look, “You should totally let me shave this.” You smirk pulling at the overgrown chin hairs.
He lets out a huff of air the corners of his mouth curling up, “why not,” he shrugs before picking you up and walking you to the bathroom. He sat you down on the counter and grabbed his little electric razor you’d gotten him for his birthday. You giggle playfully kicking your feet as you grab the razor from him and click it on. The low hum from the device makes your face twist into a mischievous grin as you stare at him.
“Alright bub calm down,” he grabs your wrist slowly guiding your hand with the razor down his chin, “you think I was going to let you do this by yourself?” He questions cocking his eyebrow at you, “so close yet so far..” you whined as you watched him care out his facial hair. “Maybe 5 more years of this,” he says using his eyes to point to his hand guiding yours around his face, “and I’ll consider letting you try on your own.” He chuckles drying his face off.
Everyone is Here Except for Me (Logan Character Study)
Sometimes Logan thought about how old he must be. He had only a smattering of memories before the last thirty years, glimpses of blood and gunfire and the smell of death. He thought about how those glimpses weren’t all that different from the cemented memories he’s managed to hold tight to his chest, selfish and unrelenting.
Despite having only thirty years fresh in his mind, he felt much, much older. Sometimes, in his nightmares, there’d be a flash of angry German voices, the sound of mortars too close. He always woke up anxious and confused, because obviously he had been in a war, but which one? The fact that he didn’t know made him angry; made him cagey and mean to everyone around him the whole day after.
He was old. There was no question about it, despite the lack of wrinkles or gray hairs. He knew, even without the blur of faint memories. Sometimes, the weight of his body was exhausting. The adamantium making him feel sluggish and tired. Sometimes, he tried to pretend it was the metal on his bones preventing him from getting out of bed. Sometimes, he had to admit to himself that it was the weight of his years, pressing him deep into his mattress. He had an irrational thought that there was a Logan-sized shape in the bedsprings, keeping him there and molding itself to him. But then he’d get up, and the mattress would fill back in like he was never there, adamantium skeleton unimportant.
The stinging pain each time he snapped out his claws served as a reminder of what he was. Not who, because a beaten down animal such as him had no use for any sort of concrete identity. Not anymore. Who would it serve?
There were days he considered his amnesia a blessing, because the adamantium-coated weight of thirty years was already nearly too much. But then there would be mornings where he’d bolt upright, gasping for breath and claws held out defensively. Half the time, he didn’t even know what he’d dreamt about. Days like those he wished he had all his memories, just so he could put a face to what made him unable to breathe. To remember why he always kept his back to a wall in a restaurant and why when he walked through buildings with too many windows he felt the hair on his arms and the back of his neck rise.
The more recent nightmares were always worse in their clarity. The older ones, the ones he could remember past his adrenaline-fueled wake up, he always felt like a bystander, watching through muddied glass. The newer ones, he was always in his own body, watching through his own eyes, helpless to do anything. It was a cruel twist of fate to make him a bystander in both scenarios.
He’s only known the X-Men for fifteen years. It doesn’t sound like a long time, with a life-span like his. But considering the other fifteen years fresh in his mind were of him driving aimlessly around the Canadian wilderness and occasionally getting into cage fights for beer money, those last fifteen years felt much longer than they had any right to. He hesitated to call them fulfilling, if only because of the sheer amount of tragedy that has followed in those years’ wake, but they certainly were not wasteful. Not like they had been before Rogue decided to hide under an icy tarp in his busted up trailer.
Fifteen years was hardly a speck. Barely a blip on his radar. He had no way of confirming his suspicions, but he had reason to believe he was over a hundred years old. Sometimes there was a glimpse of a blue uniform ruined with blackened blood in his dreams. Those dreams made him question his estimate of a hundred. Made him afraid of thinking it might be closer to two hundred. He inevitably shied away from those intrusive thoughts, already overwhelmed at the idea that he’d lived through two world wars, the possibility of the American Civil War fitting somewhere in there made his stomach lurch.
Hardly a speck, yet so impactful nonetheless. He wasn’t sure who he’d be without the X-Men. Someone far more turned inward, more aggressive outward. No one to care for. No one to lose. When those thoughts began to sound too inviting, he had to remind himself of another aspect, one he was hard-pressed to lose. No one to care for him.
While the number depleted with each year, due to freak accidents, self sacrifice, or anti-mutant movements gaining too much traction, there still remained a tenacious few. Storm, Hank, Rogue. The other kids who he pretended not to like; the same kids who pretended they couldn’t hear him prowl along the hallways in the dead of night, afraid of another attack like Stryker’s.
The hole in his chest caused by Jean’s death never seemed to shrink, no matter the strength of his regenerative abilities. A similar hole in his mind due to Charles was in much the same state. Each day he ached without them. Each day he missed them so much that they only served to pile more weight on top of the impossible one he already had to carry around because of Stryker.
Hell, he even missed Scott. He mourned the fact that Scott never got to see a life beyond Jean’s death. He praised the fact that he never had to see her fall, even if he had died at her hands. Knowing him, he’d have probably said it was his penance. Logan pretended he didn’t understand.
Sometimes, he dreamed about Sabertooth, though he always looked a bit different. More groomed, for one, though the sharp teeth and claws always seemed to be the same. That vicious glint in his eyes, one to rival Logan’s own fire, never seemed to dull. Unlike his, which guttered and flared at the change in winds.
He dreamed through red-tinted blurs that he would stand back-to-back with another sturdy form, fighting through the exhaustion so far that it would push into heady exhilaration. Then he’d turn around, a foreign grin on his face that showed all teeth and he’d see Sabertooth, grinning right back, sharp teeth bared.
The man was a common theme. He’d see him wearing a blood-soaked mud-splattered blue uniform. He’d see him holding a bayoneted Springfield with a gas mask clipped to his service belt. He’d see him running toward Panzers, his roar faint in his ears due to time.
He’d see himself pulling the man off of civilians, barking at him to leave off, a tinge of panic and desperation burning in the pit of his stomach. The hopelessness that was always ever-present.
There was a woman, too, but the memories of her were the fuzziest of all. When he peered too close, he always caught a whiff of betrayal, but none of his vague impressions of her ever felt truly tarnished. He didn’t know what to make of her, but it didn’t really matter, in the end. She was dead. He knew that much, waking up a blank slate on a burning island, the smell of blood so strong in the air he knew it wasn’t just his. The face of the woman dead on the ground matched the caricature of her he’s built, but anything actually important regarding her was lost. He felt like he should be more upset at those memories in particular being gone, but something told him to be grateful.
Japan was a shitshow. Being summoned by a man he couldn’t remember to say goodbye was already hard to swallow, but it wasn’t all that difficult to pull him away from how he’d been living, swallowed by his grief and drowning in it. The flood of memories he got after seeing the man who had summoned him was unexpected, but explained a little of why he was there in the first place.
It was everything after that that fell apart.
Hanging off the side of that building, suspended only by the broken stubs of his claws with needles drilled deep into the marrow, he found himself, suddenly, inexplicably, afraid to die.
He’s spent so long wishing only for a chance to finally find peace he didn’t deserve, that when he was finally given an opportunity, he realized he wasn’t ready. He wasn’t ready.
He was not ready to die.
Later, in a hotel room the night before he was scheduled to fly back to America, back to the X-Men, he allowed himself to poke at the thought of his fear.
He was not ready to die. He could not die.
The thoughts didn’t feel wholly like his own. They had the faintest residue of something long thought impossible to feel again. It felt familiar in a place left gaping and vacant.
Despite it all. Despite his reservations and his doubts over the veracity of his own mind; the growing weight of his impossible bones; the years of failure; the pain and the suffering and the hell that seems only to follow him, he knew one thing for certain, even if the object was as of yet unclear:
Description: This is based on this post I first made a while ago. After I reblogged it again, I was talking to @screamxqueenx94, and decided to write this for Logan/Wolverine. Basically - reader and wolverine get body swapped, and the reader just so happened to be on their period when it happens + them having to deal with each others mutations.
Notes: Sorry this took so long, I forgot I wanted to write it lol. Also, this takes place somewhere around around the second movie.
It didn’t turn out exactly how I expected, but I hope you still like it :)
Characters/Pairing: Logan/Wolverine x Female Reader
You wandered through the mansion, wincing after every occasional cramp that rumbled through your gut. You had heard there was a recent mutant that showed up at the school, so you wanted to see what was up.
Walking around the corner, you see Logan leaning against the wall, seemingly staring at an empty staircase. As you walked over to him he glanced over at you “Y/n” he greeted.
“Logan” you returned while looking at the staircase “There someone there I don’t see or are you just staring cause your bored?”
A small smirk formed on his face “Listening, not staring”
You rose your brow before listening intently. You could hear the distant sound of shouting “That the new mutant?” you asked, having not recognized the voice.
“Yep, he’s kind of an asshole. I almost went after him, so I got sent out of the room” he said annoyed.
You huffed “Am I suppose to be surprised?”
He smirked at you before turning his body fully towards you “Aren’t you suppose to be training today?”
“Yeah, but I’m not” you said simply.
Logan was curious, but didn’t press on the reason, he watched you as you leaned against the wall next to him, while staring up the staircase “So, what’s this guys mutation?”
“No idea, Xavier didn’t say”
You just nodded “Hope it’s nothing too bad, cause he doesn’t seem to be cooperating much”
Logan turned to look up the staircase as well “I don’t care, I just hope he takes that stick out of his ass soon, or I’m gonna have to do it for him”
You smiled at him “You always this charming?”
He gave you a crooked smile before winking at you “Only for you”
You chuckled “Well, consider me touched”
When Logan had first showed up, you were one of the first mutants he met, and the first one he actually got along with. Though you didn’t really share his sense of humor, you would still joke with him. Plus, he wouldn’t really admit it, but he really liked you. And you wouldn’t admit that you felt the same.
-
Both yours and Logan heads snapped up towards the staircase as you heard the door slam, followed by multiple people stomping down the stairs. The first person was a young man, only a few years older than you, followed by Storm, Scott and Jean.
Logan stepped forward stopping him in his tracks “Hey, listen here, you were brought here so you could be helped, no one is saying you have to stay, but there is no need for you to act like a little shit the entire time”
The guy glared at Logan before glancing at you, and then back at Logan “I don’t need help” he turned to walk away but you stepped in front of him.
“Maybe you don’t need help, but you should stay for a day or two, just to see if you don’t want to stay? Maybe you’ll like it here”
The guy rolled his eyes “I don’t wanna stay here with the rest of you freaks, so just leave me alone bitch”
Logan reached forward, grabbing the guys arm “You’re gonna want to apologize” he said warningly.
The guy just smirked “Cute, being all protective of your girlfriend” reaching towards Logan he grabbed his arm before reaching back and grabbing yours. Before either you or Logan could do anything, you felt an extremely dizzying feeling making your whole body swoon, followed by both you and Logan both falling to the floor unconscious.
**You’re POV**
You groaned out as your hand reached up and touched your head. When you opened your eyes your vision was blurry, adjusting slowly as you woke up. Sitting up you felt someone grab your shoulder, turning your head you see Storm, Xavier behind her “Careful”
Slowly sitting up, you laid your head back against the headboard, something felt weird, your body was...you couldn’t tell, just that something was wrong.
“Y/n hasn’t woken up yet” Storm said, making you open your eyes.
“What?” you asked confused. Charles, upon hearing the confusion in your voice, entered your mind, immediately knowing what was happening ‘what does she mean I’m not awake yet?’
Charles sighed out “Don’t worry Y/n, I can explain”
Storm looked over at Charles, a look of concern and confusion on her face, you squinted at him “Explain what?” you could heard your own voice, but you didn’t realize that the voice they were hearing wasn’t your’s.
“Look at your hands” he said simply.
Slowly you looked down, realizing just how hairy your hands were, and how big, it took you a moment before you realized. This was why you felt so...wrong.
“Oh my God” you muttered.
Storm’s eyes widened, finally realizing what was happening “Oh no”
“Oh yes” Charles muttered.
“But..how? Oh...that was that guys mutation wasn’t it? He did this?”
Charles nodded his head “Yes. But, unfortunately he is gone, he escaped as the others were checking if you and Logan were alright, but don’t worry, we will find him, he will fix this”
You sighed out as you looked back down at your body “It’s so weird, my voice sound’s like my own, like, do I sound like Logan to you?”
They just nodded as you slowly got out of bed and stood, realizing just how much taller you were in Logan’s body “Where’s Logan? I mean, me..oh god” you sighed, realizing how weird this was.
Charles and Storm led you into your room, walking in, you saw your own body lying on the bed “Oh, that’s so weird” you muttered out, earning a glance of confusion from Jean and Scott you were sitting near your bed.
“Professor?” Scott asked
“Michael’s mutations was not only being able to change people emotions, but to swap their conscious minds” he said, referring to the mutant who changed you.
Jean and Scott glanced at each other before looking at you, Jean took a step forward, reaching your mind “Y/n?”
You just nodded as you approached the bed, looking at your own body, it’s so weird how different you look from someone else’s eyes.
**Logans POV**
As Logan woke up he sighed out, feeling a rush of dizziness “Jesus” he muttered out.
“Logan” he heard Charles voice.
Opening his eyes he turned and looked at Charles, before realizing where he was “Why am I in Y/n’s room?” he wondering out loud.
“Before you ask anymore questions I need you to listen to me” Logan just stared at him as he continued “Michael, that young mutant that did this, has a rather unusual mutation”
“What do you mean, what happened, where’s Y/n?”
“She is outside, but Logan, I need you to know, that one of Michael’s mutations is to switch people bodies”
“What are you talking about?”
Charles had sent you a message into your mind, asking you to come in. As the door opened, Logan saw himself walk in, immediately making him suspicious, jumping up, he moved faster than he intended, his body being much lighter than usual, easier to move. Glancing down, his eyes immediately found his chest, being much different than his own, looking at his hands, he realized they were much smaller. Seeing a familiar scar on the back of one he muttered out “Son of a bitch”
“That was my reaction too”
He glanced up, hearing his own voice, “Y/n?”
You just nodded your head taking a few steps closer, looking over at Charles he spoke before Logan could ask his question “We are looking for Michael, don’t worry, we will resolve this”
“I hope you do it soon” Logan muttered before looking over at you.
**You’re POV**
You and Logan sat in Charles’ office, you were staring out the window as Logan was staring at his hands, your hands, whatever.
“Why are you staring at my hands so much?” you asked, when you saw him.
“No wonder you suck at throwing footballs” he just muttered out “You’re hands are so small”
You chuckled “Shut up, at least I don’t have giant hairy man hands”
You heard him chuckle, though you were still taken aback from hearing your own voice come out.
Logan adjusted himself in his seat, obviously uncomfortable “Why do I feel so weird? Do you always feel like this?”
You squinted at him “Like what?”
He winced “Like your insides are trying to become your outsides?”
You suddenly realized what he meant, putting your hand on your mouth you tried not to laugh “Shit”
He glanced over at you “What?”
“I kind of forgot. Um- no, I don’t always feel like that, it’s just that...well, I’m- we’ll, you actually, are kind of on your period”
Logan stared at you in silence for a few moments “...What?”
You just nodded your head “Yep..but don’t worry, I put in a new tampon just before this happened, so if we get switched back within the next six hours, you won’t have to..’do’ anything”
Logan sighed out in disbelief, wincing as another cramp stuck him “Oh, this sucks”
“Tell me about it, I have to deal with that every month”
He glanced over at you again, unamused, as you had to resist laughing at him. A moment later Jean, Storm and Charles came in, Charles spoke first “We tracked Michael a few hours from here, Scott is going to go get him”
“Are you sure he should do alone?” you asked
“It would be better if he did. We don’t need this happening again” Jean said, refferring to you and Logan.
Storm watched as Logan winced in pain “What’s wrong with you?”
You grinned “He’s on his period”
Jean and Storm tried to hold back a laugh as Logan glared at you “Don’t worry, I’m sure Y/n will get you some pain killers” Jean said, amused.
Logan looked at Charles “Scott better work fast or I’m gonna find Michael and I’ll kill him myself”
You glanced between Logan and Charles “Don’t worry, he doesn’t mean that, it’s just his hormones talking”
Logan groaned in both annoyance and pain as Charles smiled lightly at the two of you “Why don’t the two of you go find something for Logans cramps”
Logan glared at him as the two of you got up and left his office. As the two of you walked down the hall he looked at you “How do you manage to hide how much pain you are in every month?”
“Practice, but mostly pain killers”
“This is why you didn’t go to training isn’t it?”
You nodded your head “Yep. The first day is always the worst”
“This is the first day? How long does this usually last?”
“Anywhere from three to seven days”
“Seven days? Are you kidding me?”
“Nope” you said seriously, looking over at him “Welcome to my life”
Logan sat on the couch, relieved that the cramps had finally stopped, though the constant feeling like he was leaking was unsettling. He glanced over at you as you kept scratching your face,
“What’s wrong?”
You sighed as you scratched your chin “How do you live with this facial hair? It’s so scratchy”
He smirked “You get used to it”
“I hope I’m not in your body long enough to”
He nodded his head, agreeing with the statement “Though, if we are going to be stuck in each others bodies for a while, maybe we should learn to use each others abilities, just in case”
You glanced over at him and then back down at your hands “I guess” you stood and wandered across the room and sat on the seat next to him, looking down at your hands “So, how do you...”
“I just do...I mean, it should be just the same as using yours”
You nodded your head, concentrating on your hands, doing the same natural movement that you would using your own powers, you gasped out in pain as Logan’s claws came out of your hand, faster than you intended “Damn” you hissed “Does it always hurt that much?”
He shrugged “I guess it does, I just got use to it I suppose”
As the pain faded slightly, you stared at his claws, never having seen them from this angle. You touched them lightly with your other hand, careful not to cut yourself “They are pretty” you muttered.
He chuckled “I guess”
Concentrating, you slowly put them back, wincing as you watched the skin heal almost instantly with a weird tingle. Looking over at him, and then glancing at what use to be your hands you met his eyes “Your turn”
He looked down, again naturally doing what he would if he were growing his claws. He jumped slightly as the flames he’s watched you create so many times engulfed his hands, and then his arms “Shit!” he yelled before panicking.
You lunged forward “Just close your hands while thinking about putting it out!” you yelled.
Managing to make the fire go out before the flames reached his clothes, he breathed out heavily “Fuck” he whispered to himself, glancing over at you “How long did it take you to gain control over that?”
You shrugged your shoulders “A long time, it’s why I came here in the first place, to gain control”
He nodded, having not thought about how hard it might have been, learning to control that kind of power “Maybe we should just wait to see if this is...permanent”
“That’s probably a good idea” you agreed, not wanting him to burn the mansion down on accident.
-
You sat on your bed, staring at the wall. You had yet to heard back from Scott.
You heard a knock on the door, looking over, you watched as Logan came in “Hey, you alright?”
“Yeah, just tired. You didn’t get any sleep last night did you?”
“How did you-”
“I can feel it. This is your body after all”
He nodded his head as he walked in and sat on your bed next to you “Well, the pain killers wore off”
You smiled lightly “Yeah, they never last long enough” you leaned over and opened the bottom drawer next to your bed “Here” He rose his eyebrow in confusion as he took the hot-water bottle from you “It will help with the cramps, just set it on your gut” he sighed as he got comfortable in the bed next to you “Do you think we’ll be stuck like this?”
“God I hope not. No offense.”
“None taken”
Logan saw as you shifted uncomfortably on the bed “What’s wrong?”
You hesitated for a moment before you muttered out “I have to pee”
He cleared his throat “Oh..well, I mean...if you really really have to-”
“No no, it’s fine, I’m not that desperate yet” you said nervously, not wanting to go there yet “Have you..”
“No, no, I haven’t”
“Good. I don’t think you’re ready for that”
He stared at your for a moment before realizing you must be referring to the current state of your body.
I wasn’t sure how to end this so I just left it as a part one - hopefully I will figure out how to end it soon and get out the next/last part :)
Anonymous Asked: Hi! Could I request a one shot where Donald Pierce and the reader are watching a scary movie and he keeps teasing her about how jumpy she is and she tells him that she will not get scared of anything until halloween and she wins until a few hours until the bet is done, donald scares the crap out of her and throws a plastic spider at her and she screams and starts crying because she has a huge phobia. And he is just laughing until she glares at him so he takes care of her and cuddling? Tysm!!
Words- 600
You had your eyes shut waiting for the scary music to be over, once the song is over then there will not be anymore jump scares. You felt Donald presence next to you which immediately calmed you down.
“Darling your jumping more than a bunny does watching this movie” Donald teased. You glared at him pausing the movie.
“I bet you I won't be scared by anything till Halloween night”Donald looked at his watch.
“That's in two days are you sure you could handle that” He teased you. Yo smacked his shoulder playing seriously. “Ok fine fine if you beat it then I will stop teasing you about it. You two shook hands agreeing to the deal.
---
It was the last day of the bet and you mostly stood clear from Don and you were close to winning the bet. You were watching tv watching a comedy movie to calm your fears of Donald trying to get you back for the bet. As you were watching you felt something drawl on your leg, looking down you saw a black spider laying on your lap.
Your heart fell off from your chest and you felt your body go numb. You yelled out louder than you ever did in your life you crawled away from the couch hyperventilating. You turned around seeing Donald laughing on the floor having the time of his life. You felt the tears fall down your eyes you ran towards Donald punching him repeatedly in his arms.
“Darlin whats wrong” You started hyperventilating.
“I have a huge phobia of spiders”
“Im so sorry I didn't know” Donald pulled you into a hug rubbing your back attempting to sooth you. “I will never do that again to you” Donald was sorry the rest of the night and kept you in bed serving tea for you and watching comedic movies to keep your mind off of it.
Situation: In the hospital. Prompt: “I love you. I love you more than I’ve ever loved anybody.”
Characters: Logan x Reader
As you opened your eyes. Squinting from the glaring white light of the room you reach up and rub your eyes. As your vision clears you move your head and look around the room, seeing beeping machines and tubes going into your arm, you struggled trying to remember what happened.
There was an attack at the school. You remembered explosions, and screaming. You were awoken from the sound of gunshots. You ran out to help evacuate the kids. When you got downstairs you saw a bunch of masked men trying to take some of the children. So you attacked them, successfully getting the children to safety. As you took them down to a secret bunker, one of the attackers followed you. Turning to fight them, they shot you twice, once in the stomach and once in the shoulder.
You remembered hearing someone scream your name as you fell to the ground. Your vision was blurry but you saw the familiar figure take out the man that shot you, then he crouched down in front of you, saying your name over and over until there was nothing but darkness.
As the memories came back you looked at the other side of the room. Your eyes immediately drawn to the man asleep in the chair next to you. Watching him for a moment, you saw blood stained on his shirt and hands.
Before you could decide if you wanted to wake him, you saw his eyelids twitch before slowly opening. He looked at you for a moment before realizing you were looking at him as well. Quickly leaning forward he reached out and grabbed your hand.
You smiled lightly at his concerned expression “Hey” you croaked out
A sad smile came across his face as he squeezed your hand “Hey” his voice sounded worse than yours.
“What happened at the school?” you asked scared of the answer
He cleared his throat “We managed to take out enough of the men to scare the rest off, they didn’t take anyone”
You sighed in relief "Does Charles know who it was?” you asked suddenly angry that someone would attack a school of children with such violence.
“He doesn’t know for sure, but he’ll find out” he said anger in his voice as well.
After a moment of silence, he leaned forward more, stroking your face with his hand he hesitated before speaking “You scared the absolute hell out of me you know that?” his voice was full of emotion.
“I’m sorry, I won’t do it again” you said earning a smile from the man.
“You better not” you could see an unfamiliar expression on his face, so many emotions showing themselves at once. Suddenly a tear started to roll down his bearded cheek.
Reaching out you wiped the tear from his face “It’s okay Logan” you whispered “I’m not planning on leaving you” it didn’t sound like a promise, but both you and Logan knew it was .
He sniffled as he held grabbed the hand you had on his face. Placing a kiss on your knuckles he looked back at you “I love you. I love you more than I’ve ever loved anybody.”
Smiling at his confession you squeezed his hand “And I love you Logan”
You stared at him for a moment before your eyes started to go heavy. You felt him stroking your face again as he spoke “Go to sleep. I’ll be right here when you wake up”
As you drifted off, you felt safe knowing the man who would protect you from anything was sitting right by your side.

Platonic!Reader x Logan
Words: 500(short but I didn't have much to go on)
“do you have everything” Logan pointed towards your stuff.
“yes Logan god this isn’t my first mission”You smiled at him. Logan smiled back giving you a big hug. “bye Logan” You walked into the office getting ready for your briefing before the mission. Logan stayed behind with the rest of the group.
“you can't be any more noticeable” Scott teased Logan. Logan bewildered turned around asking what he meant. “you can totally tell you have a crush on y/n”
“Where did you get that from?” Logan leaned against the wall as Scott continued talking. Jean came into the room as Scott talked.
“It's obvious, you're always protective of them, and it's obvious you care for them”Jean wrapped her arm around Scott's waist pulling close to him. You looked out the window waving at Logan.
“I don’t like them” Jean stifled a laugh
“Are you talking about his crush with y/n?” Jean asked Scott when he nodded she continued speaking. “ Come on Logan you don’t have to hide it, we’ll keep your secret” Logan scoffed trying to hide his anger. The team didn’t understand he had no feeling for you he didn’t see you that way but he didn’t want to lose you so he was protective of you. You were like a little sibling for him.
“No I don’t it’s not like that I don’t see them that way”
“Oh really then what way”
“Yes, I care for them but not that way. I don’t want to lose them so I feel protective of them more like a sibling than anything else” Logan was getting tired of the
“Oh im sorry Logan” Jean sighed. She felt guilty teasing Logan knowing what his true feelings were.
You walked out of the room walking up to Logan. “So it turns out the mission was canceled, turns out the FBI had it undercover” You hugged Logan before looking at the team. “hey guys whats up” Jean looked at blushing covering her face with Scott's chest.
“Hey y/n me and Jean are gonna go to eat lunch together but we’ll take to you later” The both left leaving you confused. You turned to Logan puzzled.
“Whats up with them?” You asked Logan, he coughed stalling for a minute before speaking again.
“Nothing hey come on let's go do something fun” Logan put you in a chokehold before giving you a noogie. You punched him fixing your hair. Both of you laughed it off heading to the dining hall.
Characters: Logan Howlett/Wolverine and Reader, with mention of Scott Summers/Cyclops
Story: Reader goes to a platonic movie with Scott, but Logan misinterprets the situation and gets jealous
Rated PG for chaste kissing and light swearing
"So then I just told her, "Fine. Have it your way; I love you'," Scott finished his story, grinning.
You smiled too and replied, "That's so sweet. Are you gonna ask her today?"
"I hope so. I've had the ring for a month now."
"Wow, a month? How has she not found it?"
"I am very good at keeping secrets," Scott winked.
"Apparently. My goodness," you said, shaking your head.
You pulled up to the mansion and got out, walking with Scott to the door as the two of you chatted casually. You walked into the entryway and glanced up at the sound of footsteps on the staircase as Logan appeared above you.
He glanced at Scott, then at you, then rolled his eyes and said, "Where have you two been?"
"The movies," you replied, exchanging a smile with Scott and adding, "We saw the new Fast and Furious. It had a totally different ending than I thought-"
"Yeah yeah, that's nice," Logan cut you off.
You frowned at him. "What's up with you?"
"Excuse me?"
"You're in a mood; what's up?"
"Nothing," he grunted flatly.
"You've got one heck of a nothing," Scott mused.
"Shut your hole, bub," Logan snapped.
"Hey, stop it, both of you," you cut in.
"I'll stop as soon as you two do," Logan shot back.
"Excuse me?" you replied in a warning tone.
"Nothing."
"No, what was that about?"
"Yeah, excuse you," Scott added before you placed a hand on his arm to shut him up.
"I'm sorry. I'll leave you two alone," Logan growled.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Enjoy yourselves."
"We just went to a movie, Logan. Nothing else," you said calmly.
"For now," he muttered.
"Logan, stop it!"
"I should go," Scott cut in, turning to the hall.
"Yeah, you should," Logan called after him, then turned back to where you were standing with your hands on your hips.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" you snapped.
"Wrong with me? I'm not the one sneaking around with laser face there and playing dumb!" he shot back.
"Logan, you are so out of line! It is not like that between us."
"Oh please. You two have been out three times this week and it's only Wednesday."
"Yeah, as friends. And just friends."
"Keep telling yourself that."
You were so furious you felt tears rise to your eyes, much to Logan's shock, and you yelled, "Logan Howlett, you are an ass!"
Turning on your heel, you stormed out, ignoring Logan's effort to call you back. You stomped across the courtyard and wiped your eyes furiously, swearing under your breath. What had gotten into him lately? He wasn't usually such an ass, but lately he'd been acting like a petulant child whenever you were all in the same room. You kicked a rock angrily. What was his deal? You could kill him!
"(Y/N)! Wait!"
You kept walking, ignoring Logan's calls, but he eventually caught up and kept pace with your furious gate.
"(Y/N), please, I'm sorry. I was out of line-"
"Damn right you were!"
"What I said back there was rude."
"No shit."
"Stop!"
You whipped around to face him and shouted, "Why is it sooo terrible that I hang out with Scott, huh? Why do you care?"
He stumbled over his words for a moment before weakly admitting, "Becuase I wish it was me."
"We're already friends, Logan," you sighed angrily.
"No, I want to take you out."
You looked at him, still dead pan.
"(Y/N)," he sighed, rubbing his temple, "You are terrific."
"And?"
"And," he put his hands out.
"And what, Logan? Don't play stupid games."
"I want to take you out on a date. Please. I know I've been an ass, and I'm sorry. It's just... seeing you with that smug, goggle wearing, idiot is infuriating."
"I'm not going to stop hanging out with Scott just because you don't get along," you warned, "And just for the record, nothing has happened or is ever going to happen. He's asking his girlfriend to marry him soon. That's what I was helping him with."
Logan closed his eyes, tipping his head back and saying, "Damn. I really am an ass."
"Yes. Yes you are," you replied, then more kindly, "But not all the time."
He looked at you hopefully.
"Scott is going to ask her tonight, so he'll need the house empty anyways. I'll give you one chance at dinner to prove you're not a total ass."
Logan smiled, "That's all I need."
You couldn't help but smile back, then reach up on your tiptoes to give a quick kiss, much to his shock, before walking away and adding, "I liked you first anyways."
You left Logan standing in the courtyard with a triumphant smile on his face.
