@logic-and-reason - (moved from here!)
:: I see. Thank you for clarifying. ::
Unseen across the comm Prowl’s optics narrowed and doorwings flicked briefly as he thought about it for a moment.
Not his Mesothulas then; not the mech he once considered a friend, not the mech he - in a way - betrayed, but also not the mech who forcefully abducted him.
That complicated things, because moves and intentions of an entirely different Mesothulas or Tarantulas could possibly be even harder to predict.
But in a way, it also suddenly made everything much more simple. The tactician was still talking with a Meso…Tarantulas, yet not exactly with the very mech responsible for kidnapping him. And not exactly the very mech heonce trapped in the Noisemaze. A different Mesothulas. In some strange way, it removed at least a tiny bit of tension and dread that accumulated in Prowl’s spark - even if it certainly didn’t erase all the wariness.
:: Before we proceed, I have a question and I expect a honest answer,:: he finally spoke again in a quiet monotone. ::Have you ever…ah, forcefully abducted any Prowl? ::
Or perhaps that was something only Tarantulas of his own universe did…?
Nope, sorry, Prowl. No such luck here.
Tarantulas hesitated for a moment before replying, trying to figure out the least incriminating way to own up to it. «…I - I don’t know what might’ve happened in your universe, to you personally, but as far as your alternate goes - yyyyyyes. Sort of. I did kidnap him. Once.»
