Loki was confined bi on this day. Today is love, my crops are watered, my skin is clear. I am thriving.
so loki being bi consumed my brain in its entirety, made me unable to fall asleep tonight and in a few hours I'm gonna have to hop on a bike, drive 13 kms and learn how to do paper flowers with old people... so yeah I'm exhausted and I'm gonna be even more, and yet this feels like some of the best days of my life
did he just came out?!
Loki is a bi disney prince! I didn't think those fuckers would actually do it! I had to pause the fucking episode and scream and jump on the couch and cry. This is fucking beautiful. Disney let us have a fucking canon queer marvel character. I really expected to be queerbaited again. And its one in the morning and I have nobody to scream with.

Loki in the MCU and Comics VS Loki in Norse Mythology
Okay, I wanna clear some things up. As both an avid lover of Marvel’s Loki AND Loki in the Norse mythology (and just a lover of Norse mythology in general), I gotta clear up some misinformation I’m seeing.
Firstly, Loki in the MCU. He is confirmed Bisexual. That is a fact within the MCU. Within the Marvel comics, Loki is confirmed Pansexual and Genderfluid.
HOWEVER, unlike what I’ve been seeing many people try to say to support the modified version that Marvel owns, Loki in the Norse mythology is NOT bisexual, pansexual, or gender fluid.
I’ve seen people try to refer to the incident regarding Loki birthing the eight legged horse Sleipnir, but they leave out or are unaware of crucial context to that story.
That would be bestiality firstly. Secondly, that wasn’t out of him being sexually attracted to a male or wanting to be female. He’s a shapeshifter. That doesn’t make him genderfluid. That makes him able to change his form, but he himself is a male and prefers that. In the story I am referring to, a worker was making a wall and made a deal with the gods that if he completed it alone within a certain time, he could marry one of the goddesses (I can’t remember which). The thing is though, he could use his horse. Loki vouched for this worker and his deal with the gods thinking he couldn’t do it, but when the man proved himself capable and nearing completion, the gods ordered Loki to interfere or else he’d be killed. So, Loki took the form of a mare in heat to distract the worker’s stallion. The stallion chased after Loki into the nearby woods and mated with him. Loki became pregnant and eventually birthed the eight legged horse Sleipnir. Additionally, Loki expresses shame and annoyance at having to have done this. He wishes it didn’t happen, especially since it made him the butt of many jokes among the gods.
The recorded children of Norse mythology Loki and the partners with whom he had these children with are as follows:
Hel, Fenrir, and Jormungandr with Angrboda the frost giant Jötunn.
Sleipnir with the horse Svathilfari (in which Loki birthed Sleipnir).
Narfi with Sigyn.
And Vali (with whom I’ve seen both accounts of Sigyn as well but also an unknown partner).
There is also an instance of him being the mother of all ogresses after consuming the burnt heart of a woman (I’m still looking more into this story so I can understand it and the context better).
Here is a great list of reading resources complimentary of the r/Norse subreddit on Reddit, full of both pros and historians as well as amateur learners: http://www.reddit.com/r/Norse/wiki/readinglist?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Again, I have nothing against the Marvel Loki. As you can tell by this blog, I love him. But I also love Norse Mythology and don’t want misinformation regarding the mythological being to be spread.
