FELLOW TRAVELERS 1.06
If you buy seated tickets, it ok to stand up the whole gig?
Because I firmly believe no. Like if the whole crowd is up or its like the encore, go ahead that's cool but I'm talking the whole time.
If you wanted to do that, should of bought standing tickets.
It's just obnoxious really because you can have just as much fun dancing and singing sat down as when you're stood up, it's about the energy you bring to the show yknow?
not to mention that it fucks up the WHOLE block behind you (domino effect of everyone having to stand to see over you) and plus there are many reasons why the people behind you chose seats or can't "just stand up" and it's not fair to ruin their gig by blocking their view the whole time.
And this is from someone who LOVES standing, like I will always buy standing if I can but I always sit down if I have seats outta respect for everyone around me 😅
hmm, interesting question! i’ve never really thought about it. i’ve bought sitting tickets before, but we’ve all always been on our feet the whole time. just because i think people are more inclined to stand during concerts?? and that most people usually buy sitting tickets because it’s all the venue has/all the standing tickets are gone. like i’m thinking of one of the biggest venues near me—there’s a giant GA pit where it’s standing room only, and like the other 80% of the seating is sitting only. but in my experience, most people stand anyway.
so i think i can see where you’re coming from..? because i can understand why it would be annoying to have your view blocked, but i feel like in general…i’m not sure if i could blame people for wanting to stand during whole shows because it’s just want people do! i would especially say this if there’s no standing room left available. like i don’t think people should be forced to sit just because the much, much smaller fraction of standing room only seats are gone, you know?
maybe it’s just from my experience, but i personally have more of a fun time expressing myself/feeling the music when i’m on my feet. so i think it’s definitely a little bit of a subjective claim to say you can have just as much fun doing it while sitting down, because i think it’s a to each their own situation!!
i do absolutely understand the accessibility argument, however! and i definitely wouldn’t want anybody’s experience to be ruined when they don’t have the ability to so easily stand/stand at all, so it’s a bit of a bind. most of the seating areas i’ve been in (because i try to buy standing room usually) have been the vertigo-inducing nosebleeds, so i guess i haven’t really thought about it. i think of a lot of venues also do have reserved accessibility seatings too, you know?
in general, i’m not sure where i would fall on this. i guess it depends on the venue? but all my experiences of having sitting seats see everybody standing anyway, so i guess i would have to read the room in differing situations & act accordingly, which i would do most likely because i wouldn’t want to ruin anybody’s experience!
it's the justice league. i'm pretty sure it's their business to know if the earth's best heroes have a shady past
and if it's not it's definitely batman's business to know bc he's a paranoid weirdo snoopy bat lol

hey everyone! so it’s been brought to my attention that the anon i answered last night about botw link and zelda was directly referencing a specific post made by someone else on tumblr. I haven’t seen that post and i don’t really plan to go looking for it, but i’m here to kinda ask yall to not sic me on people like that? i understand that yall value my opinions on these games and that i do a lot of refuting of semi-popular fandom characterization of my own free will, but asking me to go after someone in particular without ever even mentioning to me that that’s what im doing opens me up to potential harassment if that person finds me and perceives me to be vaguing about them. I don’t even necessarily mind being asked to refute certain posts in particular, but i’d appreciate being told that that’s what i’m doing so I can’t misinterpret what’s being said through a second party. i am going to keep the post up because i stand by my analysis but some heads up wouldve been nice, that’s all. Thanks!
[ID: a drawing of Gonta from danganronpa. He’s looking off to the side, a sad grimace on his face as tears roll down his cheeks. Next to him is a chubby white person with streaks of blue in his dark blond hair. He’s wearing a T-shirt that says says “I love Gonta” but it’s represented by the letter I, a heart, and gonta’s face. He’s also wearing a hat with a beetle design on it. He’s jumping for joy, a big smile on his face as he shouts “He lives!!” The background is a bright pale yellow. End ID.]
Ignoring all concerning character development my fav is going through to celebrate the fact that HE’S NOT DEAD YET!!
