I have been sucked into the dark void that is this fandom. And I love it.
Lol anyways I’m just uploading this WIP for now cuz I’m really proud of how it looks. I’ll fix it later....
(And yes I’m aware that it looks like Mahiru is floating...... haha oh well)
Disrespectful Tip #3:
DO NOT TAKE 8AM CLASSES. I don’t care how disciplined you think you are, 8am classes are the worst. Getting up for them is extremely difficult (especially if you commute to school) and staying awake in them is just as hard.
Try to take classes after 9am! They’re easier to get up for and to all my fellow commuters, you won’t have to wait 30 minutes for the next train after you miss the 6:30am train to the city.
Y’all watching all the vids from the first show makes me so emotional and happy at the same time! She looks so happy and I am so happy for her, and I hope she knows that! She is killing it! All I feel like doing is hugging her really tight!!!!
stap me (nope)
Study Tips...
With finals approaching, some of us (myself) have to pretend like we have been studying the entire semester and not binge watching Blue Bloods and KUWTK. Here are a couple of tips I feel can help us all before exams.
1. Study the chapter vocabulary first, read the chapter summary after, then skim the chapter to fill in any misinformation. This helpful tip came from my Criminal Justice Research Methods professor (probably the best CJ professor in my school). I have applied this study method to my other classes and it’s super helpful.
2. Flash cards are you friends, especially for memorizing theories or vocabulary. Get a key ring, 2”x3” index cards (or cut a regular sized index card in half), fill out the cards to fit whatever you’re studying and punch holes in the cards to put on your key ring!
3. Look at your old exams (This helps especially if the tests are cumulative).
4. Change your location. Sometimes studying at home isn’t always the best answer. You might be too comfortable. Switch it up! Go to a cafe, a park, your local library, maybe even an empty classroom (if you’re stuck on campus like I usually am).
5. TREAT YO’ SELF. Set a study goal for yourself and reward yourself with your favorite snack AFTER you achieve that goal.
Good luck guys! If any of these have helped, feel free to let me know.
(Note: The point of this post isn’t to attack studyblrs)
I was reluctant to post this without the last grade… but I just wanted to say that I promise I’m not talking out of my ass when I’m giving advice. I follow every piece of advice I share with you guys, but I’m not perfect (as you can see from that beautiful B- and A-) and neither is my gpa.
The reality is, some studyblrs aren’t being honest with you guys. 4.0s are the most difficult things to achieve/maintain and as hard as you may try, you may not actually achieve it. I ended the first semester of my freshman year with a 3.8 gpa and it dropped to a 3.3 my second semester. Ever since then, I’ve been working my ass off to bring it back up while managing the finances for an on campus organization.
Do not let studyblrs and whatever-else-blrs make you feel incompetent because your gpa isn’t a 4.0. Let’s celebrate the fact that you’re in college and doing the damn thing because some people aren’t as fortunate.
