Happy 5th Birthday, LORE!
To honor five years of LORE cartoons on YouTube, I’m going to show off my top five favorite Fast Facts animations that I worked on together with funymony. Fast Facts is a weekly, thirty-second cartoon series about video games that premiers on the LORE channel on YouTube. Since joining up with LORE in 2013, I helped with the production of over twenty cartoons.
(You can see more LORE cartoons by funymony right here!)
Banjo Kazooie was one of the very first Fast Facts episodes. It was made almost entirely by funymony, but it’s still one of my favorites. Spring 2013
Animal Crossing is when I started getting more involved with production, providing half the jokes and art assets. Summer 2013
Sonic the Hedgehog with Chad Quandt. At first, funymony and I were like, “Who’s this guy?” But Chad’s sleepy voice and enthusiasm for classic Sonic won our hearts in the end. Winter 2013
Double Dragon! At this point, funymony and I had a strong, collaborative work dynamic. It’s worth watching this one to the very end! Spring 2014
Transistor demanded special artistic attention; the game is full of beautiful colors and shimmering textures. The soundtrack is rich, moody and electronic (also available for free listening on the game’s official YouTube channel). We loved it so much, funymony and I beat this game twice in one night! Summer 2014
Mage, no doubt. I know you've got the skills of a brawler, but you strike me as a more methodical, tactical fighter in a fantasy setting. Maybe I'm wrong, heh.
I’d be a distance fighter for sure, I don’t have the guts to go hand-to-hand with someone actually intending to hurt me. XD But mages have never been my style!

I love that Wind Waker smokey effect! The rate that the clouds expand is really believable, too. The figure has nice, strong poses, but they could have more impact with a little squash and stretch. I also like the colors you chose to create depth.
Sorry for jabbering. I just saw this and I got really excited.
O8!! you’re fine i’m really excited to hear some actual feedback on it (especially from you)!
I agree, I definitely feel like I could have done more- my biggest problem was time, so when I finally zoomed out and realized how stiff it really looked I had to bite the bullet and leave it as it was to make sure I had something to turn in at all. :’T Shoving your face into tiny pixels for an hour really skews your perception of how big of a difference you’re making sometimes.
It’s definitely something to keep in mind for next time or if i ever decide to revisit this with more TLC!
By the way, FIGHT ME!
IF YOU DARE TO.
So much art... sssoooo LOVELYYYY! ;A; *gathered Likes spilling out of my arms* Such a gentle representation of anatomy! All boasted by your color choices and your smooth, simple brush strokes... Gorgeous! <3
>///< a aAa aahhhh ththaankk you very much. *helps pick up likes because reasons*
OH NO! You took my draw! That just means.... I HAVE TO MAKE MORE!
