Ok. What is ninjago and why... why is it Legos im so confused

Ninjago is an animated TV show that first aired in 2011, consisting of 14 seasons, two pilot episodes, a movie, a comic series, uncounted LEGO sets, and other assorted animated shorts and extras. It currently has 6 main characters (Jay, Kai, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, and Nya), all of whom are ninja with elemental powers, as well as various side characters ranging from mentor and parental figures to kooky sidekicks and antagonists-turned-allies. The show follows our six protags as they fend off apocalypse after apocalypse, jump dimensions, and rack up a TRULY impressive amount of trauma that rarely gets addressed in canon! More than one character has died on more than one occasion! It’s okay though, they either get better or just get resurrected outright 💗

As for why they’re LEGOs, it’s because kids (especially boys, the target audience of the show) love them, plus it’s now got its own VERY marketable toy line. And as the seasons go on, the sets just keep coming!!! It’s a self-contained money machine, and yet I still cannot pass a toy section in a department store without finding my way to the Ninjago sets 😔 I am not immune

Weird question- do you happen to remember which episode of talks machina _someone_ described matt handling a backstory as wrapping barbed wire around a bat and hiding around a corner to whack the player with it when they least expect it? I cant find it.

  okay we need to have a conversation about a part...

Question: I like to tag my bookmarks so I can find certain works easier, and sometimes when a work hasnt been updated in years I’ll use a tag for ‘probably as complete as itll get’. Is that offensive? Should I stop? I dont care if the author doesnt want to write it anymore or whatever, I’ll love whatever’s there; but i dont want to hurt someone with my tagging system. It’s mostly just to help me narrow down my searches anyway.

I mean you should always be conscious of the fact that authors can see your bookmarks but no I don’t think what you’re doing is being offensive at all.  There’s a difference between making a note saying that yeah this fic hasn’t been updated in years and making a note that says something like “would read this if the author would ever finish it”.

You get the difference?  One’s a reminder to you and the other is being a passive aggressive asshole.

So imo you’re in the clear darling.

Actually for this fic the first scene was what inspired me! I saw a meme somewhere like ‘imagine taking ur vampire boyfriend to olive garden’ and was like, kaminari as hell. So I basically had to think of a plot and universe in which something like this could take place! And the bants flowed so naturally between them I wrote it pretty much in one sitting. Truly an OTP.
