Modern Times MT5! Double Dry-Hopped IPA (Picked up at the Lomaland Brewery). A 4 of 4. Brewed for their fifth anniversary, and is an insanely cloudy and thick beer that carries a ton of tropical juice notes in both the nose and body. Creamier than even the many other hazy offerings from Modern Times, and delivers a great, refreshing, hop complexity.

Tortilla

Pretty hot and much larger than I expected for a fast food joint.

Meat

Admittedly, a little less than a more local taco shop. But if there's one thing I don't need too much of, it's poorly-regulated burrito mystery meat.

Ingredients

Fries, cheese, pico de gallo, guac, and sourcream. They're pushing tje crinkle-cut fries hard, as if that wavyness bears anything once knee deep in a burrito. The rest was pretty ok, maybe thay the sourcream was fairly bunched up was the only complaint.

Salsa

An assortment of heats alongside ketchup packets. Taco Bell beats them here in both heat and flavor.

Other

Didn't come into the Del Taco on Midway with a lot of high expectations, bit I was still pretty impressed; clean facilities, attentive staff, and pretty alright food. A far cry from the dregs of humanity that patronize most of the auto body shops and handjob parlors around Loma Portal on a Tuesday midmorning. And with a drive-thru,  you don't have to risk it at all.

Pairs with:

Fountain Coke, no ice.

Overall Score

6.5. I may not advertise the fact, but this was better than quite a few local burritoterias around.

First beer post, New House edition! The last few days have literally been a whirlwind of activity as would be expected when moving into a new place. Even more so when you move into a "micro-farm". Lots to talk about and lots to do, but first things first. I'm taking a short break to actually sit down for five minutes and enjoy this tasty, tasty brew by Modern Times. It's pretty dang good.
