The Difficulty with Political Diversity
The Difficulty with Political Diversity
At the last Worldcon, there was a panel whose title I liked, but which I did not want to attend because the panelists lacked diversity. The title of the panel was: “Ideology versus Politics in Science Fiction”. It caught my eye, because I follow politics closely. The description ended with a very good question, asking how politics might be represented in SF in an authentic way, whilst remaining…

On Worldcons and World Cups
Normally it is considered foolish to insult customers. But others do it, so why not me too? Like others, I do foolish things from time to time, not least when honestly stating my point of view. Helloooo! I said I'd post the last of my photos from Worldcon, and as it's Halloween...
These are all pictures taken by the lovely skittledog, who I met at the con, and are all Fool pics (I spent two days in the Fool costume and only one in the Amber one). So without further ado...
More under the readmore...

Like, at Loncon I met these two guys, one of whom will forevermore be known to me as Drunk Irish Jesus and the other Bug-Eyed Pirate.
COSPLAY PART 2
Seriously, I can't believe it took me nearly two months to get around to posting the second set of these. That was, to be fair, mostly because I thought I already had...
Anyway, thanks to fitzfixesfoolsfits whose response to my cosplay post reminded me that I'd been meaning to do this. There are only three photos of my Amber costume in this set, but I do have a final batch to come that aren't from Loncon3 but are from my earlier photoshoot and might, hopefully, undergo a little editing from the wonderful 1boo.
Below the readmore are the Amber photos - for the Fool costume, see this post and this post.
