London feels like a real change in enjoyment for me. I was enjoying it form the start to the end this time.
I liked Mordred, and really most of the servants. I just liked all of the interactions.
I liked the setting and the story overall this time. I think I’ve heard Mordred is in Fate Apocrypha, and since I liked her so much, I wonder if I should check that out? Eventually, won’t check it out until I finish a few of the Fate stories I already plan to check out.
I have very little information on Apocrypha. I know a few of the servants. Mordred, Astolfo, Fran, Siegfreid. But I haven’t really looked into it. The one thing I’ve heard about it is that it falls flat near the end. But that was from one person, so I don’t really hold a lot of stake in that opinion.
The part at the end where Arturia appears and seeing how Mordred reacted to that really interests me. Her relationship with Arturia is something I find a bit interesting, and how she views Arturia.
I wonder if maybe I just liked the setting of London better than the setting of Okeanos. Like, I think you can still make the setting of the open sea and islands interesting, but I feel they didn’t do that too well in Okeanos. Whereas it’s a bit easier for me to like the city setting.
It also could be that there were a few servants in Okeanos I didn’t like: Blackbeard, Artemis, the pet thing, probably a few others. And while this one had probably as many servants, there weren’t any I really disliked.
I just liked how the plot unfolded, how the different servants were used, I liked the whole Nikola Tesla thing followed by the Arturia thing, and then the conclusion with Solomon, revealing the main villain. I just really liked the story this time.
I definitely think Solomon is a much better villain than Lev was, and I’m interested in seeing more of him. I found it somewhat interesting what he was saying, or at least some of it. About how life is meaningless because it will end someday. It’s an interesting thing to have in a villain.
Anyway, essentially, this feels like where the story is going to get good, more or less. Which pretty much lines up with what I’ve been told.
