@lone-wolfben:
This could not possibly be right. He’s heard mention of The Institute from the Jewells before but this… maybe wasn’t so far off. Their personalities would have made a lot more sense if they indulged in what these rules were talking about. All they talked about was the good times they’d had here, specifically how it was a sanctuary for supernaturals. That bit still felt a little new to him, only being around himself and witches for however many years, but he fit the bill. Broke and super, in need. Seeing a passerby that looked at the least, a little approachable, he did so, tugging at his new leather jewelry.
“Excuse me, I need to find the headmaster immediately,” he growled, continuing to yank on the collar wrapped around his throat - it’s like it was getting tighter by the minute. “Clearly there’s been some sort of mistake, here. This can’t possibly be…” He trailed off as he saw other passerbys, some with collars, realizing that a good half of the people were in skimpy bathing suits. “What in god’s name is this place…”
.
“Trust me when I tell you that you really don’t, my dude. You’ve seen the Wizard of Oz? The guy’s like the Wizard, only the Headmaster is actually great and powerful. No man behind the curtain with that dude.” Clearly the stranger that had approached was a new arrival; it was usually pretty damn easy to tell when they sputtered the way this guy was. Not to mention the desire to see the Headmaster in the first place - she was pretty sure there were professors who didn’t have the balls to approach the man. “Heaven or hell, depending on your perspective. Welcome to the Institute, may the odds be ever in your favor.” A wry grin curled her lips, one hand extended in introduction. “Rowan Aubri. Most of the time, it’s not so bad. Make friends in high places and you might even have a little bit of fun in between the slave bits.”
