First Lone Star of 2018
From the moment I pulled out the first piece of fabric from a dye bath I made myself, I have been chomping at the bit to make a lone star quilt from natural dyes. I am so happy this quilt is going to a new mama back east who I have always admired as an artist and a human. She’s going to be such a great mom.
This quilt has 4 fabrics that I dyed at home. Starting at the points of the star and moving inward:
•Brown: Black walnut
•Cream: Coffee
•Light blue: Black beans
•Sage grey: Blueberries
The navy blue, dark grey and the center of the quilt/mirror stripe light grey were store bought.
Measures 43″ x 60″. Features hand-stitching and machine stitching.
