And so it ends, my last meal at @megsdrivein - One of my favorite mixed plates out there, choosing their beef stew and chicken katsu for it. I always loved their katsu, because I was told it was pan fried versus dropped into a fryer, and the result was a crunchier yet crisp coating. Pair that with their dark brown, savory beef stew and what you got is a beautiful memory to end my time there. I had never been there for decades, until some friends I met via Twitter decided to start frequenting there, and it soon became personal favorites for us, especially for J-Nobili. I’m gonna miss Meg’s a lot, because of the old time flavors of Hawaii’s plate lunch scene it represented. With today’s technology and tastes, I’m not sure if these recipes will be preserved for future generations to cull from. #DinnerCrew #LoneWolfAndGrub (at Megs Drive In) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXZR6j4vJVS/?utm_medium=tumblr
