Apparently in the event of a storm you're to hide in this coffin and await rescue, up here among the clouds with that long drop just there.. 💀🖤
The Long Drop
The long drop is a type of toilet, where you have a seat about a very deep pit. This was used lond ago before the flushing toilet was invented. The idea was you would go to the toilet, your ‘business’ would fall to the bottom of the pit well away from you.
No water just a bit hole.
When I was in England I went to a castle and a lady there who was a guide at a castle that was set up to match what it would have been like 100s of year ago said “Have you looked at the bathroom? it’s very interesting” So I went and had a look, came out and was like “Yeah, it’s a long drop toilet, I’ve used them before” Lady was like ‘wtf?!’ she didn’t verbally say it but her face spoke volumes lol.
In some national parks or places out in the country there are toilets, but they don’t really have the plumbing or anything, they are like the middle of nowhere or the middle of forest or w.e. Usually there’s a tank or something nearby so the taps have water, but otherwise no go. So you have this toilet and instead of pooping into a bowl of water you poop into a hole. BONUS you never get splash back lol. Yes it can get smelly. Newer ones actually don’t have to go too far into the ground as they will just have the toilet built up high and you go up a ramp and into the toilet. The newer ones also aren’t just a hole, like you sit on the seat and the front of the bowl kinda slants backwards so your pee and poo can fall down and in but less smell comes back up.
TL;DR toilets that are found in super old castles in the UK are the type still used in some Aussie places.
BLM is a terrorist organization that scammed millions, and now, it's not racist to just say we are fatigued. It's not racist to say we are done playing nice
They want violence? It's coming, for them and all who sympathize with them
Today's Flickr photo with the most hits: this tippler mechanism from a long-drop toilet (Towneley Hall, Burnley). This was the flushing mechanism of my childhood.
Waste water from the kitchen sink drained into the shovel shaped basin. When full, it would pivot and pour the water out to flush toilet waste away. The toilet itself was in an outhouse: a large diameter upended pipe, with a seat on top.

Long Drop Challenge + Scavenger Hunt [Update]
Training Fields Start Date: 1/10/19 End Date: Collect:
Collected 99/99 Long Drop Challenge Complete!
The Elusive Bumble is still missing though....
Notable Drops:
There’s no more full drop list to this as I stopped recording it. Seriously it was just too much. So I made a note of the notable stuff instead since I finished the Long Drop portion of the challenge. Nearly a year later and I still haven’t seen a Bumble drop....but I did have 2 in my hoard at one point so I know they do drop! Just...fuck me. If the year turns out nothing I may take a break from the Training Fields and head to the next venue anyway for the Long Drop Challenge.
