In the new age of the ivory dragon, there remains a willow tree from the old world still tucked in a garden. There used to be many other willow trees, many more, yet now only this single tree remains.

No one knows why the ivory dragon has taken such a liking to it, nor why they tend and care to its needs even when the others like it have been pruned and replaced.

Some say that on the quietest of nights, that you can hear the willow weeping. But it’s just a rumor isn’t it?

Tree’s do not weep.

And even if it did..

What could it possibly have to weep over in such a paradise?

I like to think that in the ending of the au where both are happy, that longan is back in their palace and it was rebuilt. Chocobark has a lil place in the palace that he’s able to come and go from whenever he pleases where he just has to give notice of when he does.

Also longan does have rules against those besides chocobark coming onto the island, though if longan feels in the mood they may let chocobark bring a single guest but that’s sparse and can be taken back at any time (chocobark is more than welcome to go to one of the other islands the dragons occupy as a meet up point with his friends and family)

This also gives the image of longan actually stealing a fucking boat for chocobark because they want to be a good mate and provide 😭
