Emerging from the portal, Gentaro immediately starts looking around for clues to his location.

It's just about night time, and the stars are coming out. He's still on Earth, because he can see Orion. That also means the northern hemisphere. So far so good.

There's a road sign nearby and as he shines a light on it, his translator tells him that it's Old English. So, somewhere in the United Kingdom. That's two ways of narrowing it down.

He looks over the horizon, trying to pick out any landmarks. No sign of skyscrapers or airplanes. So he's back in time? It's a good theory, that proves more likely as he hears the sound of approaching hooves.

There's a carriage coming down the road towards him, and he quickly gets off the road to let it pass.

But it seems to be slowing down as it approaches. Who would be riding around in a fancy carriage like that and be interested in him?

The king and queen of France.

                             Francis and Mary.

                                          They’d go down in history without a doubt. How they were engaged, how they fell in love, how he protected her, and how she spoke of. They would most definitely be remembered, if they weren’t it would be quite the tragedy. For their love is heard in other countries, for their strength is feared, even by the English, for their pain is felt, by everyone.

                        Even their deaths would be monumental.

             For they stood side by side, hand in hand, foot by foot, and ruled as one.  

                                            Long may they reign.
