Stealing & Sneaking || Arthur & Loki
Loki loved castles. All of the grand hallways and clandestine secret passageways. It was part of the fun of exploring different parts of this realm, breaking into places that were meant to be sealed off to anyone. He loved that kind of challenge.
So when he strolled through the deeper parts of the castle in Camelot, he was not nervous. Nor was he very concerned with getting caught. He knew the servants schedule from scouting out the place ahead of time and he had the vanishing coat if he really needed it--but right now, no.
“Where do you keep your secrets, Camelot?” He muttered softly under his breath as he slowed his stride past a couple heavy looking door. “...Something like this, perhaps.” He knelt down and examined the lock before pulling out a something from his belt. Not from Asgard or anywhere quite that fantastical. Just something from the city--sometimes things like lock picks were just as effective as the more mysterious alternatives. And much quieter.
The door creaked when he opened it at first, but Loki slowed down the swing of the door and squeezed through the narrow opening he created, not bothering to shut the door behind him. Yes, gold and riches, as expected. But what he was looking for... “Ah-ha.” Loki picked up a crown and twirled it around his finger. It was a worn out looking thing, but still gold. “There you are...”
