Lodi (Lombardy). Duomo. Inside (1285). The cathedral of Lodi, as well as vast is composite. In the course of its history it has been reworked several times and part of its complexity is probably due to this combination of styles: Romanesque, Longobard, Baroque, Renaissance ... The altar is very special, also double as arrangement, the oldest one located very far from the nave and very high, probably the one nearest Vatican Council II. Other rooms in the altar area make it even more special, such as the chapel of the Madonna with child and the wooden choir, which is accessed by a staircase (in analogy with Santo Stefano in Bologna) ... These rooms where you try and sing the polyphonic choir of the church.
