This 6 year old girl was found as a stray by the police in the early morning hours, in March 2016. Tila came in with a collar on, but no tags, and no owner has been found. We are hoping Tila calms down and warms up a bit, but right now she’s looking for a home with kids 17 and up, and with no other pets. Tila does enjoy playing with toys though, so that is good! Tila did though display issues with people near her food, so a savvy, experienced owner is what Tila needs. Banjo has lots of fans here at the shelter, who work with him on his obedience, and he is doing great! He knows sit, and is working on "heel". He also is a 'leaner', which just melts our hearts! #Repost @friendsoftohanimalshelter (@get_repost) ・・・ Meet our N I N T H #longestresident -- Baby Love! Baby Love is a gorgeous, tan and white, 6 year old stunner, who is looking for a new home. This seriously handsome boy came to us as a stray in 2015 and was reclaimed by his owner. A year later, his owner surrendered him because he was moving and couldn't take him along. Then, his owner called us and said he wanted his dog back. And then, Baby Love appeared again as a stray and when we talked to the owner, he told us, once again, he doesn't want him anymore... As we always say, one man's trash is another man's treasure! At least we were able to find out some personality info from his previous owner, which should help us find his new FOREVER home: Baby Love is house trained and crate trained, Baby Love knows the commands "sit", "down", "stay" and "come". When asked to describe him, they said Baby Love is affectionate, well behaved, playful and "loves attention". The cutest part about Baby Love, WE think, is that he thinks he's a lap dog! It's always good for a laugh when you have a 65 pound dog trying to crawl into your lap for cuddles. Baby Love is also friendly and social with dogs! Blaire has been waiting way too long for her forever home, and we are hoping and praying that her family finds her soon. Blaire waited in the shelter a very long time, but thankfully, a foster home opened up and this is where Blaire has been waiting for her forever home. We have some great info from her foster that we would love to share with you: Blaire is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a harness. She is also very sweet and affectionate with her person. Blaire is the perfect combination of couch potato and "mini-athlete"! Blaire loves to run around in the yard, but also is really mellow inside. Blaire loves treats, loves attention, and loves to watch tv! Blaire does need a solo pet home, and a savvy owner, who can help her get used to new people.
