one of my besties got into a minor accident today (he doesn't remember but apparently he slipped and slid at the entrance of his uni and hit a railing) and he got rushed to the uni clinic and i said ask for a CT scan request (he said maybe it isn't needed cause his head wasn't hurting, only his limbs). and he was like 'oh my god, where can i get a CT scan without my parents knowing' and i was like 'you didn't tell them??' and he was like 'no cause i would just get scolded' and i remembered when i got into that motorcycle accident last year, that was one of my first thoughts as well like i was on my way to the vet and got hit by a motorcycle (at the pedestrian lane too) and usually my parents would say to take a cab or have someone drive me there but i'd rather walk since it was not that far anyway and when i came to after getting hit, sitting at a nearby bakery with my bloody ass head all i could think of is that my parents are never gonna let me walk outside again and get scolded for not taking a cab or someone drive me there lmao and last month when we had a family get together for my grandma's birthday, one of my aunts (millennial) said that she noticed that her kids are afraid to tell her if they're hurt or something because they're gonna get scolded and she realized she got it from our grandma because when she was in the same situation she would also fear for the scolding first before whatever her condition is. and she was like, i need to change that. i think some of these fuckass cycles are gonna be broken. thank goodness.
