Generally, I'll listen to music when sketching but once I get to the lineart and colors, I'll listen to podcasts. For podcasts, I really like story podcasts and true crime podcasts. A couple of my favorites are Crime Junkies, Myths and Legends, The Bright Sessions and The Edge of Sleep.
🥁 *Yes*. All the time. I don't usually watch shows while drawing because my atention is all focused on the piece at hand, so... I miss most of it x'D so I preffer listening to music by a mile. It also helps me get myself in a nice mood for drawing <3

🎸 I'm sure many people like musical celebrities like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Micheal Jackson, but for me, I'm more into the obscure and lesser known artists. My favourite artist of all time? It's Akiko Shikata, a Japanese musical artist and music box musician. Her songs are considered to be one of the most amazing fantasy songs I've ever heard, and they contain a lot of emotions that I cannot express myself. If I were to meet her in person, I would ask her what inspires her songs.

🥁 All the time! If i'm not listening to music I have YouTube videos on in the background and it helps keep my ADD Brain interested in things
🎺 I do listen to music, I also sometimes put on youtube videos, and rarely but sometimes but on a show to listen to in the background.
🎸 Yep ! I listen to youtube video essays about movies, shows and stuff, my taste changes pretty often. Also, podcasts, my favorite is The Adventure Zone.
🎻 Not always, but I do! I cycle between TV shows, Youtube, Podcasts, and Music.

🥁 Oh gosh that's a hard question but I guess my current favorite artist is Cavetown and I would ask what inspired the songs Home or Talk To Me.
🎺 One of my favourites its actually Babymetal, and I would like ask them if I could what did they think of metal and rock in general when they started and what they think of it now?
🎸 "Hm, that's always been a hard question for me. My taste changes pretty often and I find myself having kind of a frankenstein playlist of a bunch of artists and genres, so choosing one is hard. I guess OneRepublic and Mika have always been somewhere near the top tho so I'm gonna go with them.

🎻 I listen to various types of bands and music so this question is always hard! I guess one band I like is Skillet. I'm not quite sure what I would ask since I would be so anxious and starstruck!

🎺 I don't but I would like to properly learn how to play the guitar and also the violin, which I did start learning as a kid but I gave up too soon on it and even now I still regret it a little.
🎸 I do play the acoustic guitar for fun, I don't know many things, but when i hear a song I like in a video game or show I learn it and play it for my enjoyment.
🎻 I used to play the flute, and occasionally play the Ocarina for fun.

What do you expect from this zine?
🥁 I'm not sure honestly, this is my first Zine so I have no idea what to expect but i'm excited!!
🎺 I expect to see a good arrange of different art styles and also maybe even find new music to listen to from the selection that people have chosen, as well as helping me with doing more art and getting out there more in the art community.
🎸 Honestly, to try out some new things in my art style and to see everyone's finished work, that's always fun.

🥁 usually, i am either listening to music or rewatching my favorite tv shows while i work.
🎷 I listen to music or watch videos while I draw, usually for background noises but when it comes to music I like it to listen to certain genres and themes to keep my mind at a creative mode.
🎺 I'm big into music, I believe that it can influence how and what I come up with. A lot of the times I will have a specific playlist for a piece just so I can keep a consistent mood through out a piece. If I want to have a neutral setting while I work, I usually just throw on a murder mystery documentary and get to it.
🎸 All the time! It helps me focus and relax at the same time. Sometimes a song can inspire me to draw through art block as well. My genre of music can go from pop to hardcore rock, then back to instrumental and indie, in many different languages as well.

🎺 This may be unbelievable, but I don't have one particular absolute favorite artist/band. I love so many different types of music it is so hard to pick one favorite. I guess if I really had to pick *one* I would pick Ella Fitzgerald. I would love to ask her what it was like to be a woman of color making a living as a jazz artist in the era that she lived.
🎸 I have too many to list, but if I could ask one question to my favorite musician, then I would want to know what inspired them to make a song.

🎺 Sadly, I am not able to play any instrument. I just completely skipped that in school. I think I would really love to play the guitar or banjo. The guitar because it is an instrument thats sound really excites me in music. And the banjo because it is notoriously hard to play, so it would be cool to say I could. Maybe even a hurry-gurdy. Who knows.
🎸 I used to play the electric piano back when I was young, but not anymore. If I wanted to learn an instrument again, I would like to play an electric guitar because of guitar hero. [LOL]

🎤 i'm really curious to see the variety of music~ Maybe i'll find a new favorite band!
🥁 i expect to hear a lot of cool music that i have never heard before! and also push myself to work outside of my comfort zone.
🎷 The wonderful pieces everyone will be making with the songs they have chosen and even listening to some of the songs they had picked!
🎺 Just to have a whole lot of fun and discover some new music. Maybe even make some new friends in the art world.

🥁 I think my all time favourite band would be Sigur Rós! They're an Icelandic post rock band. I'd ask them "When was the moment where it came to you that you really, really wanted to become a serious band", because post-rock and shoegaze is a really risky genre to be in - not as well known, and starting a musical career is already daunting on its own!
🎷 My favorite music artist is a really hard question tbh, at this moment, probably Sufjan Stevens! And I would love to ask them how they felt about writing the album Carrie & Lowell.
🎺 After the Rain; I would ask them their inspirations and aspirations for the future!
🎸 I love lots of different artists but I think a big favourite would probably be Rupert Hine. I'd ask what he thinks about the music he wrote in the 80s in terms of how relevant it is today and whether he's likely to create any new pieces in the future

What do you expect from this zine?
🥁 I don't expect anything for myself, but I hope that it's a good opportunity to become more well-known in the art scene and also befriend new artists. That said, I certainly do expect the zine to help shine the spotlight on some underrated artists!
🎷 I expect a lot of emotion from each artist, music is a huge release for people along with art, so I hope to see a huge creative outlet!
🎺 I don't know exactly what to expect, as this is my second zine, but I've enjoyed the community and the plethora of different minds that come together to create this project!
🎸 I like to draw things based on music anyway, so this zine is pretty much an excuse to do more of what I like :p
