Do you listen to music (or tv shows/films/anything else) when drawing?
🥁 I do listen to music when drawing! It's good to keep the mood and have my brain in the zone 🎷 Yes! I usually watch memes or listen to rock or lo-fi. 🎺 I listen to podcasts and music! Talking to friends who also draw simultaneously helps me boost through pieces. 🎸 I usually listen to music when I'm drawing because I find other things hard to pay attention to while I'm trying to draw 🎻 Yes, almost always! I have music on whenever I'm not actively trying to watch someone or something.
What’s your favorite music artist/band? If you could ask your favorite band/music artist one question, what would it be?
🥁 I think my all time favourite band would be Sigur Rós! They're an Icelandic post rock band. I'd ask them "When was the moment where it came to you that you really, really wanted to become a serious band", because post-rock and shoegaze is a really risky genre to be in - not as well known, and starting a musical career is already daunting on its own! 🎷 My favorite music artist is a really hard question tbh, at this moment, probably Sufjan Stevens! And I would love to ask them how they felt about writing the album Carrie & Lowell. 🎺 After the Rain; I would ask them their inspirations and aspirations for the future! 🎸 I love lots of different artists but I think a big favourite would probably be Rupert Hine. I'd ask what he thinks about the music he wrote in the 80s in terms of how relevant it is today and whether he's likely to create any new pieces in the future 🎻 My favorite band would be Dance Gavin Dance! If I were able to ask them one question, it would likely be 'How do you keep yourselves creative despite the frequent changes in roster?'
Do you play an instrument? If not would you like to play one? Which one?
🥁 I play the piano! Also wished I could play the drums. 🎷 I play Piano, Ukulele, and am actively learning Bass guitar! I can also play a bit of Ocarina :0 🎺 Yes! Flute and piano, formerly cello. I want to try oboe though! And I'm beginning to learn piccolo for marching band next year ^^. 🎸 I'm mostly a singer but I can play a little bit of piano and I'm slowly learning to play accordion 🎻 I don't play an instrument, but I've always wanted to play guitar since I was young.

What do you expect from this zine?
🥁 I don't expect anything for myself, but I hope that it's a good opportunity to become more well-known in the art scene and also befriend new artists. That said, I certainly do expect the zine to help shine the spotlight on some underrated artists! 🎷 I expect a lot of emotion from each artist, music is a huge release for people along with art, so I hope to see a huge creative outlet! 🎺 I don't know exactly what to expect, as this is my second zine, but I've enjoyed the community and the plethora of different minds that come together to create this project! 🎸 I like to draw things based on music anyway, so this zine is pretty much an excuse to do more of what I like :p 🎻 I expect a fun time, to make friends and hopefully experience others' music tastes!!
