finger blisters suck.
so I have these needle threaders - I keep one w/ my yarn needles, and the other with my embroidery/cross-stitch stuff - and I decided to make a fob for one since having an old friendship bracelet on the other one as a strap was working out pretty well. it makes it easier to find and grab, harder to lose, etc. I knew it would be a little hard on my fingers, since I hadn’t done this kind of thing in so long (loop braiding), but it wasn’t until I finished it that I looked down and went “holy crap! that’s a big ass blister! …what about the other hand… yup. another one here too. and right at the joints, damn.” ….so now I have bandaids on both my middle fingers.
I do like this more than what I had been doing though, so I’m going to redo my other one as well… but not today. it’ll be even better, since it won’t have a big knot sticking out on the needle threader end, since I cut floss for it, instead of just using floss I cut god only knows how many years ago for a friendship bracelet I never got around to making, and I’m using more colors so it’ll be a just a tiny bit thicker. because of the knot thing, this one will live with my yarn needles, since I don’t really use the small end with those.
…but blisters. yuck.
Finished commission, a 5-loop box-shaped bracelet!
