PHASE ONE OF LOOP UTILITY BELT COMPLETE
Using Audiobus For FX Processing
If all of the Audiobus updates and news is confusing to you, don’t worry – it’s confusing to me too. Many of the producers who have been patiently waiting for Audiobus to be approved for use with their favorite DAW or app have already tried different methods to do what Audiobus can achieve. Audiobus is touted to be able to send and receive audio from app to app – but it isn’t clear just exactly how it is all supposed to work. The concept is simple in thought. You have an app that control effects, but you want the signal to be streamed through that app without having to save files and open new apps. [embed width="656"]http://youtu.be/i1jrhY_1Ij8[/embed] Thankfully there are enough producers out there that think we’re idiots – which is a good thing. They have provided some of their own tutorials on how to route or patch your audio signal the way you need. Once Audiobus is activated a small tab will appear on any of your apps that support its use. Appsounds shows how to navigate through the Audiobus menu to route audio through NLogSynth Pro. In this demo, Loopy HD is used to create the looped audio and the original beat comes from Konstrukt Vol 01. http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2012/12/22/using-audiobus-for-fx-processing/
I've put together a battery powered kit so I can do jams pretty much anywhere! Here's the first one with this set up. LA, BABY!!!!
FigureAddiction 5 is based on a question that Matt Clarke asked in the FigureAddicted Group on FaceBook. Birthday Song
How many hours in a day And how do they add up With every passing second I lose track of the sum Easy math I guess, well I digress About a quarter of the way in, if I am blessed Mostly I feel lucky to have so many damn good friends
"The laughing heart"
"The laughing heart" by Charles Bukowsky is one of my fav poems and in this video I have disassembled and reassembled the key phrases by the original narration as a soft-rap or call it as you like.
I have then divided the phrases in separate tracks and composed the base music.
After this, on the base loop, I have played every single phrase as an instrument and then I have used two different Synths: one for each ensemble arrangement.
I'm starting to exploring the power of create by myself everything. From picture to movies, from movies to soundtrack.
Like my friend Roger Guetta say, it's extremely "Coolio".
I hope you will enjoy.
A low budget black&white riddle
I love making very short movies but mostly to create their soundtrack.
I have discovered that the iPad offer a good way for a "wannabe musician" like me to produce music at a quite good level. This thanks to Audiobus that allow to link various music and instrument application in chain to be recorder in a multitrack recorder (DAW).
(Click on every app name to see video on how it works)
APPS USED FOR THE VIDEO:
AREMAC with a custom made filter.
iMovie for the editing and for add the custom soundtrack.
APPS USED FOR THE SOUNDTRACK:
Addictive Synth for the rhythm
Cube Shynth for the effects.
Loopy HD for recording the loops
GarageBand for recording the final track played on the Loopy HD track.
AudioBus 2 for mixing all this inputs sources into GarageBand.
If I have some time I'd like to make a "Show&Tell" to demonstrate how easy this process is.
Stay tuned!
