Some warmup sketches. Loosely based on Rapunzel, just to have some subject matter to sketch some poses with. During #lightboxexpo2021 some people asked about exercises to improve posing characters. Beside doing gesture drawing from a model, I consider inventing poses from imagination a great exercise. Don’t spend too long making pretty pictures, but aim your focus at capturing the gesture and feel of the pose. How does thecharacter feel , what are they doing.
