Lorax Anniversary Challenge: Friday

Ask blogs: I'd really just like to say that the whole concept of a ask blog is just so creative! I love it! Developing a character to the extent that the ask-blogs do it is incredible. That's what inspired me to make this character blog! I think that my favorite ask blog would have to be Dolphin-ler. Dolphin, Psycho, and Patches are all excellent characters and wonderful to RP with. Those three brighten up my day (yes even you Psycho) and overall really fun! Dolphin was also the first to talk/ RP with me! ^.^

Lorax Anniversary Challenge: Thursday

I can't actually record because I haven't good recording programs currently functional. :/ Here's my "this sparked the fandom for me moment" story: So, I had babysat the whole, freaking day. I cooked for kids, played games for kids, watched shows I hated for kids, everything. So I get home and I have a surprise job waiting for me at my house. While all the parents go out to dinner I'm left to the hands of the rugrats. "Oh goody." Anyhow, there were two girls and one boy. The boy was my brothers friend, so that was taken care of. But the rep little girls were both spoiled brats! Not exaggerating here. So, to deal with this problem, and make it through the evening, I didn't even give them a choice. I said: "Children, we are watching The Lorax tonight. Any complaints?" Not a complaint was filed. So we watched the Lorax and I made it. I learned that lots of things can be accomplished with a good helping of Once-ler.

Happy 1st Year Anniversary Lorax Fandom! :3 AND A SHOUT OUT TO ONCE-LINGS EVERYWHERE!

Hey everyone I would love to tell you all that I'm VERY Proud to be part of this awesome fandom. You know to be honest when I first heard of the Lorax film and from trailers I saw I thought it was good be so-so, BUT I was so wrong when I got my hands on the soundtracks and listened to each one and let me tell ya my friends-BOTH SOUNDTRACKS ROCKED! :3

Then my curiousity got the best of me when I started seeing fanart of a cute boy and so on March 4th I went to the theater to see the movie and let me tell ya my friends-I WAS starstruck from it at the beginning, but then WHEN IT came to the Once-ler telling his tale when it showed him as a young man-CUPID must of shot me with a MEGA LOVE ARROW that day because HE SHOT ME directly through my heart and THROUGH MY soul. When I saw the Young Once-ler my eyes widen.......my heart was racing and these were my exact words that came out of my mouth "Sweet mother of pearl..." I was in love-He has stolen my heart with each movement, expression throughout the whole film...I GIGGLED AND laughed when he made that cute face when he offered the Lorax a marshmallow. The music, him...and EVERYTHING WAS awesome! I just fell in love with the movie-AND Once-ler.....I KNEW right there that I have finally found true love.

I kept going back to the movies to see the film again for not just the movie, but also for the Once-ler. I even watched it around the net just to see his charming face. And during that month of March I discovered this awesome social network where I found others like myself here who love the movie and Once-ler........even oN Deviantart I found amazing friends who I've forged a bond with and friendships were borns. Stories and poems were written on such an incredible movie and even the OCSXOnce-ler tales I've written with my awesome friends and episodes and specials inspired by the movie.

Not only did it inspire my creativity-but it also inspired me in real life as well even when it came to school. When I had to study for a test or when I found something was a bit hard I imagine the Once-ler by my side cheering me on and telling me to do my best and I could do it......and because of him I was able to succeed in my classes and pass because me believed in me-he believed that I'm smarter than I think and its true. I am smarter than I ever thought before.

The movie and the Once-ler have changed my life for better and it has helped others make their lives better especially my new friend Ashley I met at Anime Milwaukee. I'm so happy to be a part of this awesome fandom and this family......it makes me happy that I found a place I can truly belong to. Along with making awesome friends too. :3

I hope for our fandom to go on for years to come-because this will be a fandom everyone will remember and as we grow our love for it will never change-it will continue to become stronger.

Lorax Anniversary Challenge Day 1: Writing

I remember how I first saw the Lorax-I remember as if it was yesterday on March 4th 2012. I've been listening to the music lately from both soundtracks that were awesome and beautiful. I've seen fanart and different clips that caught my eye and peeked my curiousity. Then I couldn't take it no more and decided to check out the film.

It looked pretty interesting, yet it got more interesting when I saw "him"- The Once-ler as a young man in his 20s and when I saw that cute, goofy boy I said "Sweet mother of Pearl-I'm in love". I giggled and laughed and sighed at the scenes with him in it even when he made that funny face when he offered the Lorax the marshmallow.

I adored the movie from beginning to end and I knew right them that I've seen the greatest movie that has changed my life forever and I've fallen head over heels for Once-ler who became and forever will be my muse and Love. Around that same month I discovered tumblr that had lots of stuff on the Lorax even Once-ler. :3

That movie changed my life for the better and helped me grow as a person.

The Lorax Anniversary Week Challenge: Monday- Written Portion

You may not believe this, but I saw the Lorax for the first time on a date. (As I like to say, I had two guys to think dirty thoughts about.) This took place on Thursday April 19th, 2012. I'll tell you that story. 

I was visiting this boy, we'll call him H (that's the name of the furry character I made for him), in Miami while he had a normal week in school and I had a mini-vacation. He said he wanted to go see a movie and just be with me that night. I had wanted to see the Lorax for quite some time now but I didn't want to seem stupid in front of him. I tried to think of a movie that H might want to see more, but i couldn't think of anything interesting. 

I finally broke down and asked him if we could go see the Lorax together. H replied with a smile and said that he would love to. At this point, I was probably blushing like a fool. 

I told my parents what were were going to see and as soon as they walk into another room my twelve-year-old little brother says with complete sarcasm yet a serious tone: 

"YOU'RE GOING TO SEE THE LORAX?!?!?! THERE'S A SEX SCENE IN THE LORAX!!!"

And after that we saw the movie, exchanging 3D glasses in the middle of the movie while giving a quick peck on the lips. 

...The day I lost H to my own stupidity I replaced him mentally with the Once-ler. One day, I wish to restart with H.

Lorax Anniversary Challenge: Monday

So, I don't write very many stories, so I'm just going to write about my first experience with the Lorax. When I was a kid, the Lorax was my favourite Dr. Seuss book.  Where my brothers loved "If I Ran the Zoo" and my mom loved "Horton Hears a Who," my heart always belonged to the Lorax.  I don't know why, honestly.  I'm not an environmental activist, and I'm not a corporation fan girl.  I just loved the message of taking responsibility, I guess.  The pretty trees probably didn't hurt either. As always, the cartoon movies were a part of my childhood as well.  My mom made sure that my brothers and I saw all of the cartoons.  I loved the cartoon with all my heart.  I absolutely adore musicals, so when my favourite Dr. Seuss book came with music, it was the best of both worlds. When the movie first came out, I was slightly intrigued.  I was also scared that it wouldn't do justice to my childhood favourite.  I was wary because of how it was publicized, what with Zac Efron and Taylor Swift being the major pushing force and Ed Helms and Danny Devito being listed last.  I never actually saw the movie in theatres.  In fact, I didn't see it until about 2 months ago!  I was bored one day and decided I might as well watch it, since it was on Netflix. My life was changed that day.  I fell in love with Once-ler, as did almost everyone.  I fell in love with the quirky way he did everything that was so similar to myself.  I am so happy that I decided to watch the movie on that one boring day, because I got to meet so many fabulous friends on Tumblr that I never would have met otherwise.
