Azyr is not the only realm where gryph-chargers roam, and Sigmarite is not solely worn by those forged on the Anvil of Apotheosis. The Steam Knight was once the scion of a noble house, the third child and thus destined to a comfortable life far from the stresses of their family's leadership. At a young age, they joined the pistolier corps, where their childhood hobby of clockmaking met the pinpoint efficiency of warfare. Their forays into repeater firearms led into ever grander feats of weapon development - from drakefire ammunition to automatically reloading handguns. They were commanding a detachment of pistoliers as their outrider when, on the road between two border towns, they were ambushed by a Beastman Gaveherd. As their young charges fled, they remained behind, and fought 'til their horse was lost and their powder flask was empty. In the last hour, lightning came to them - but it was not Sigmar's call, not the summons to be reforged. Instead, a gryph-charger struck swift, and carried them across the winds aetheric to safety. Passing through lightning without the protection of Sigmarite did great harm to the Knight. They lay in a hospit for two years, unrecognisable in entirety. The charger remained by their bedside, and little by little, they worked. Two years, to the very day of their arrival, the Steam Knight rode to the defense of the hospit from Gaveherd raiders - clad in realmstone-powered steam piston armour, borne aloft on their loyal gryph-charger, the Knight has slain the enemies of the realms ever since. #warhammerkitbash #gamesworkshop #citiesofsigmar #stormcasteternals #lordarcanum #vertuspraetors #warhammer #warhammerfantasy #warhammeraos #ageofsigmar #aos #warhammerdogsofwar #regimentsofrenown #hobbystreak #hobbystreakday33 https://www.instagram.com/p/B4GX2pDHCl4/?igshid=qx1qt35vojln
