Final post for this project. It’s just about as finished as it’s going to get for the time being... unless there are last minute changes I need to finish... anyways, it’s a duel between the lord-castellant and the gaunt summoner. Scenery on the stormcast’s side are the lore master and tenebrael shard. It’s set in a dungeon in hammerhall or possibly the silver tower I’m not quite sure yet... this is my entry to the Duel Painting Competition leading up to aos2. Painted 8/28/15

When I first saw this piece, I pre ordered it immediately. The lantern really drew me to it. I decided it would be my August entry for Brotherhood of the Brush. Since I was the only entry, I won. He was pretty interesting to paint. The most time consuming portion of him was the scroll work, as it took a lot of time for the shade to dry and I had to be extra careful with over brushing. Overall, I was completely happy with it. It’ll look great in my army.
