WoL X The crystal Exarc.

Send me a ship and i'll tell you if i ship it or not!

That really depends on the individual WOL. Going by the blank slate default WOL in the game, my answer would be no. And I definitely don't ship him with any of my WOL OCs. I feel like there's a rift between the canon WOL and the crystal exarch that just makes any romantic implications incredibly one-sided. BUT i've seen many WOL OCs who are shipped with the exarch and their stories are written in a way that's tailored to make their relationship with the exarch feel more natural and organic.. which is great! And i fully ship and support any well written relationship that can add to the skeleton of the canon story.

14. What inspired you to make your character?

My current two player characters that have actually been in play are Briar and Ghotte.

Briar, though technically a Pathfinder character, still counts in my book. She was inspired by the scary side of fae and fairies, as she’s a changeling, and I ran with the sharp teeth and sharp claws and the body-related puns that she could use during combat. 

Ghotte was inspired by my love of goats, and the ideas of demons looking somewhat animalistic. As a tiefling, I wanted to see how far I could go with his appearance while still keeping him humanoid. I also like hooking onto one particular aspect of them and running with it–in this case, his appearance.

16. What is your favorite class?

Honestly, I don’t really have one? I’ve had limited chances to be a player in campaigns, as I’m often the DM, and as a DM I haven’t really picked a favorite purely because 

17. What is your favorite race? 

Dwarves. I love them. The beards, the sass, the constitution. It makes me happy! One day I’ll play a dwarf as a PC.

😇Do you think you’ll ever experience an afterlife?

“Honestly, I’m not sure! I mean...we don’t really...die? We sort of get broken up and rebuilt if we’re smashed too small, like dust sort of being spread across the cosmos. So...maybe not all of me will live after I pass on, but I know pieces of me will. That alone is comforting. But I don’t plan on experiencing it anytime soon.”

👥Have you met others like you?

“Way, way too many. None of them are exactly like me, thankfully, but I know quite a few, and help look after some that can reach immortality, as well. One one hand, it’s very cool, because that way it’s not like you’re alone in the universe. On the other hand--well, there’s a lot of big egos, too, because immortality can get to your head.”

👨‍👨‍👦Are you part of a family of ancients/immortals?

“I have a really big extended family, but my entire family--spare my future brother-in-law--is immortal. Makes for fun family gatherings, especially since my little half-brother is a baby immortal. He’s still figuring things out.”

1. Favorite place to write

The sofa in my living room! It’s very comfortable and it’s in the nexus of everything. It’s not as distracting as people would think, because I can say hi to people as they go in and out and not have to listen for them when I’m anywhere else. Lighting is good, it’s comfortable, and I can sit just about anyway I want.

5. Books or authors that influenced your style the most.

“The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak was my favorite book as a child. The writing style really stuck with me, even though I had trouble reading his other stuff as well. The fractured sort of story telling and the in-depth analysis of the characters really intrigued me and it’s stuck with me the longest. 

I really like Terry Pratchett’s world building and wit with his narration, so that’s something I try to follow as a guideline because it’s a really, really rich way to bring readers into the world.

8. Favorite trope to write

Favorite trope would have to be what TV tropes defines as “Take a Third Option” and “Metaphorically True.” First one’s fun because it can be used for a lot of things--drama, humor, or anything else. Second one’s fun because it’s really good for covering plot holes if needed.

13. How do you deal with writers block?

I keep writing. Even if it’s garbage, I keep writing. Just something! If it’s really bad I’ll take a break on that particular project and write something else, or look for prompts.
