@lordiism ~ I gotta talk about Stephanie though because honestly I just love her to pieces even before we start talking about her sTUNNING writing. I’ll talk about that in a moment, but firstly I have to say how much I adore our conversations -- waking up to a book on skype all about potc 5 salt or disneyland or some of the strangest crack videos I’ve ever seen is ALWAYS a highlight of my day, and she is genuinely one of the sweetest people to talk to and yell at excitedly about things <3 and then there’s the majesty of her writing and her understanding of Cutler. she gets him in a way that I’ve never seen from anyone else, and her love for him is honestly infectious ( just as I made her like Jack Sparrow, she has made me like Cutler Beckett ). these two’s rivalry is one of my all-time favourite dynamics to play around with and every reply from her is an absolute JOY, and her talent is utterly inspiring <3
@piraticblood ~ Mik!!!! okay so Will Turners have always been such a rarity in this fandom ( which has always saddened me immensely because Jack and Will’s dynamic is one of my faaaves ), but then Mik arrived and honestly does the darling summer child psychopomp such justice?? like I’ve always found Will tricky as a character to figure out, but Mik writes him so well and balances his strengths with his flaws so beautifully, and talking to them too really shows how well they know this character already. and honestly whenever Jack and I receive a reply, Jack usually ends up jumping at it like ‘fml the whelp why are you like this’ and I mean that as the greatest compliment possible because everything from Mik is SO spot on and in character and I’m always energised for these two’s interactions <3
@hclliday ~ aLEX. I can never have enough good things to say about Alex and her 42923 blogs that I would follow to the ends of the earth even if I knew absolutely nothing about the muse because she’s that good at everything she does. like, I don’t know how to put it into words, but she has such a wonderful way of embodying whatever muse she’s writing in any reply she writes?? you can hear them, you can visualise them and their mannerisms, and often she achieves all of that in such concise replies -- which, let me tell you, takes talent bc I am the wordiest person by nature and even then I don’t always get to the point lmfao. but Alex makes it seem absolutely effortless, and that’s before we talk about the fact that she writes Jack’s best friend/surrogate dad and gave him the most heartbreaking backstory that STILL breaks me to this day and I love it so so much. AND then also another fond memory of writing with her was the Jack / Monkey!Jack shenanigans from way back. that was one of the funnest threads I’ve ever had tbh. she’s a joy to talk to and write with and ship with and honestly I’m so incredibly thankful that I found her as a writing partner here on tumblr <3
