Professional Hairstyles for Horses - Alfred
They had grown bored, which was Francis' defense if anyone asked him why exactly they were sitting in the stables, braiding (or whatever Alfred tried to do) the mane of a majestic white horse. It didn't look well, and Francis wasn't pleased with his work, but it wasn't for eternity.
Everything had started out nice enough, but as soon as they were left alone and Alfred somehow stumbled over his ribbons, things had gone downhill. They had started on their own hair (which was the reason why Alfred was currently walking around with a pink bow on top of his head), but then Eloise began talking and they both turned towards her, a maniacal look in their eyes. (She now was wearing a bowtie and looked really classy.)
And so, after working through a few chats, chicken and three horses, they were slowly running out of ribbons. Not that Francis was complaining - it would be a pain in the ass to get them all off again, even if it wasn't their problem, being kings and all. Still, there was one more thing they could do - and that was getting the make-up his mother left over, the make-up that was currently getting dusty on the attic. This would be fun.
Kings at the round table - Ivan, Alfred
It was supposed to be a productive meeting, but somehow they had trailed off; Francis spaced out as soon as Alfred and Ivan began to argue. If Ludwig would've been with them, they would probably discuss trade, but the King of Hearts was back at home, stuck in bed for reasons that nobody knew, and so they didn't get anything done. It wasn't as if he had expected them too.
Still, it was somewhat tiring, considering that he could be doing way better things than sitting in a stuffy room (in which sound level was way too high). He closed his eyes for a few seconds, messaged his temples, then glanced at the other men. He most definitely hadn't taught Alfred this.
"Alright, now that we are over the issue of spies killing each other in Hearts, can we kindly get back to our--",he raised his voice, but to no immediate avail; and so he sunk back into his seat, took a sip of too-warm water and glares daggers at both kings. Dear god, this sure was a waste of time.

//would you guys like it if we started a skype group for this as well? then we could all talk like the dorks we are without being messy and ooc all over the place ; v;
Kings talking about things - Alfred and Francis
The meeting hadn't been long - there wasn't much to discuss that they didn't talk about before, and Francis had to admit that they went off topic too fast, but after clearing some things up ('we should lower the toll sometime' - 'yes, probably') it was just too straining to stay reserved and cool, especially since the sun shining through the windows would soften everyone's temper. Maybe Francis planned his visits in Spades to be longer than usual because he enjoyed the castle and cities; while he did enjoy his own kingdom, Spades had something calming about it, and he would almost (almost) call the Royals his friends - as long as Yao got the work off his back, and Arthur wasn't up to arguing.
"Your garden is pretty nice though - Arthur cares for it, doesn't he? He's doing a great job, the colours look great together." The reason why Francis began talking about the garden was simple - he needed some point to start a conversation, and as soon as Arthur was included there was probably some sort of story that could be told, about either of their Queens or Jacks. Honestly, he didn't care too much about the garden; it was nice, sure, but his own one was, at least in his eyes, georgeous.
The lordinblue and queenoftimeandtea come for a visit
It had been so boring since Ivan and Roderick had gone to the Hearts kingdom. So Elizabeta had decided that the day before she would invite the King and Queen of Spades, to try and strengthen their kingdoms bonds. Well that's what she told them, but really she just wanted to see the cute couple together. Seeing as she never really saw them together at all.
It wasn't long before the two arrived in a beautiful blue carriage. "Ah hello your highnesses, I'm so glad you could make it."
I can't be trusted to read Monarchy of Spades anymore Its the first chapter and I'm already crying- I've read this damn book 17 times it stills hurts.
