#JackedKirby - Happy Holi (Holika)... Kirby Style!!! 💥💥💥 Today is the Hindu holiday of Holi (Holika), also know as the Festival of Color!!!! In honor of this beautiful Spring holiday and the Hindu culture we decided to highlight some of Jack’s awesome Lord of Light pieces.... considering they are inspired by Hindu myths and loaded with day glow colors!!! 💥💥💥 Jack created these phenomenal works of art in conjunction with screenwriter Barry Ira Geller. Geller had set out to created an adaption of a famous Sci-Fi novel “Lord of Light” by Roger Zelazny and he commissioned Jack and inker Mike Roger to storyboard the whole thing. But they would also serve as prototype blueprints for a proposed theme park called Science Fiction Land!! It never ended up getting made... but Can you even imagine how cool that would have been? 💥💥💥 The art and script for the scrapped adaption would later end up being used by the CIA in a fake movie making scam to free the Iraq Hostages in 1979-80!!!
