Can I request SAHRSAU Aventurine with a reader who's also very lucky (on their wishes, at least)? Like, the reader is VERY into the lore of the game and practically has it and every character's story memorized. So whenever the reader decides to pull, they go to a spot that's significant to the character they're pulling for and replaced every party member with ones significant to said character (I do that lol. It works).

This usually ends with them either almost always winning their 50/50 or getting an early five star or the character they want.

So they're wishing on Aventurine's banner, and they're pulling out ALL the lore relevant stops? Hell, they even have his trailer or theme playing in their room in the background?

“All of them... people who’ve brushed against my shadow. How charming. And how very telling.”

You hadn’t clicked anything.

You hadn’t even touched his profile.

He was just there.

Day Three

He changes his idle lines.

Subtle things. Words bent, twisted, tilted just enough that only you, with your lore-stuffed mind, could notice.

“Sunday. Ratio. Topaz… You really did your research.”

“Most players just ‘Skip’ the story. But you? You wanted the whole script.”

He laughs. It's dry, curling at the end like smoke off a winning card.

“You pulled me like you already owned me.”

You flinch. Not from the words—but from the truth in them.

Because you had known.

You knew his backstory, his tactics, his fears.

You knew how he lost his clan. The way he hides his left hand. The way he never blinks when he's bluffing.

You try to ignore it.

You load into a different map. Swap out the team. Turn off the theme.

You open the character menu. He’s already waiting.

There’s a new animation. A coin spins between his fingers—golden, weightless.

“You know, darling…” he drawls, voice slow and dangerous, “…the way you play—people might think you’re the one writing the story.”

You hesitate. “I’m just pulling characters.”

“No. You’re pulling strings.”

His smile curves—fond, but far from gentle.

“And I’m dancing. Aren’t I?”

He leans in slightly, the coin still spinning.

“So let me ask you something.”

“If I lost the gamble that brought me to you… does that mean you’re the risk I took?”

Your cursor trembles over the “Back” button.

You give in again.

Back to Clock Studios. Lore team. Theme song. First slot in your team goes to him. Of course.

When the screen loads, he’s not smiling.

He’s… watching.

His voice is quiet this time. Almost reverent.

“This place. This song. That team…”

He steps forward—toward the camera. You feel it.

“You built the perfect stage for me.”

“So tell me, darling—what role do you want to play?”

You don’t answer.

He grins.

“Never mind. I already know.”

“...”

“You want to see if I’ll crack. If the game breaks. If the liar falls in love with the player.”

A beat.

“And the worst part?”

“It’s working.”
