It would be a lie to say Tikoh isn't a little bit excited to be discovering new things in her field. The sheer scale of Spirale and its various unwilling inhabitants mean there's plenty of people to treat and plenty of new issues for her to diagnose, and a tiny thrill of discovery tends to accompany each one.
Her ears flick as she jots down a few notes on her latest patient; the picture is already starting to come together, but she'll probably need to do a little extra research to confirm it. Medicine is a science, after all.
"These symptoms you're describing... Have you been spending a lot of time in the Cotes Ward?" she says, finally looking up. "It sounds very similar to mana sickness from my world, and I know there are some... particular inhabitants in that part of the city. If you're not used to the energy, sometimes the body can react in unusual ways. Do you have magic in your own world? It's possible it's your body reacting to the presence of a foreign mana the same way it would react to illness or disease."
It's only a theory, but one she feels comfortable with. There's been similar cases in the Sky Realm, usually from a corrupting source, but the general idea is the same. Thankfully, she doesn't expect it to be as dangerous as it could be, because otherwise why would the Stars let all those monsters roam unchecked?
They wouldn't do that, right?
"Most likely, your body will just need some time to adapt. Once it adjusts, you should feel fine. In the meantime, I'd try and avoid areas with high mana concentration so as not to worsen your symptoms. You can try and have some food and drink from the area, because sometimes ingesting the ambient mana can help with adjustment, but otherwise I'd just advise you not to push yourself too hard, and try not to use any big spells if you do know magic. Not that that's a big issue here..."
