bit art-blocked so time to start putting my dragons in the Torment Nexus happy lore doodle cube. pondering how much i want to incorporate breed sizes in my lore while poking at this guy's design a bit. efficiency

while most would consider the angels to be benevolent, loving figures, others would beg to differ; their holy light was a curse upon the depths

very few dared to speak out against what they had collectively done. those dew were cast into the very depths which they'd desecrated.

it did, however, turn out to be a blessing in disguise,

when the very beast they'd buried rose up and swallowed the heavens whole

poking at my lore again, drew a silly thing

“What, did you expect another version of you to be stronger in some way? Better? Well, I’m not – I'm getting worse. We’re both born from the same stock and it’s grown quite sour.”

thinking of turning this into a full painting later. scribbles + thoughts under the cut

this interaction started as a little lore thought exercise to explore the personality changes between Lethe's past and present selves since they have a whole memory wipe and differing circumstances separating them, but now it's a whole thing i want to write/draw.

(which is not super productive since it's non-canon to his lore, but it's a fun space to play in)

"Why did you do it? All of this?" The black pearlcatcher lowered his head, turning his yellow eyes away; but quickly brought them back towards the red coatl. "Because it was what the Lightweaver wanted." The coatl shook her tired head. "She would never wish harm upon one of her children." That was when the pearlcatcher smiled. "But you are not one of her children. I am. And I am unharmed.”
