Tumblr user sixsbiggeststan (by title), the public has to know, what are your thoughts on Number Six (plus headcanons if any) 🎙️🙂↕️🙂↕️ pls n thx
Anon you've brought me back, when Number Six is involved I answer.🙂↕️
So, main series Six (IAN4-UAO) most powerful Garde in my opinion. Breaking out of the West Virginia mog base at the age of 13 by herself with ONLY invisibility that she hasn't had very long. How could you not love her 🙂↕️🙂↕️. Saving John's ass at the Highschool in Paradise, getting stabbed and shot, and still pulling off that insanely powerful storm (Wish we knew what that face in it was but oh well...). Despite having only 3/4 legacies (not including the physical enhancements all the Garde naturally have, but I will include the accelerated regeneration just because it technically still does pop up throughout the series even if it wasn't intended that way), she is the most powerful out of all the original Garde.
I do think the writers not expanding on her elemental manipulation further that controlling the weather (also fire in IAN4 one time at the end, and water in TPO6 when crossing the river) was a very poor choice as she could have been EVEN better than she already is when relying on only weather manipulation. But of course, like every character, she has her flaws especially in her and Sam's novellas (I don't even wanna talk about it </3).
Her flaws shine through specifically before her capture, she is impulsive, often doing what she solely believes is correct despite obvious signs of it not being correct (Responding to Two's post despite Katarina telling her that it's a very bad idea), shes VERY hard headed (in a stubborn way), when it came to Setrakus coming to the sanctuary on the anubis she refused to run away despite Ella's warning of someone is ensured to die, and refused when Sam told her she has to run and even when John simply implicated running. Once the idea is in her head she refuses to let it go.
But despite all of this she's still level-headed in a battle and has some of the most insane feats of the series (Beheading Setrakus after being stabbed through the back and chest by Phiri, the storm on the ship to take down the Anubis, Fighting Setrakus Ra alone and whiping out hundreds of mogs by herself, the storm in IAN4).
I could go on and on but I won't, and I will have some head-canons thought up and posted for you soon anon. I will hopefully be coming back with some art very soon aswell :D. I've been looking back on my past art recently and realised how much I have improved and I can't wait to start sharing it with everyone again. <3
it's so interesting when you have conversations about how the characters would explore grief, because at first you know they're going to be angry. they've lashed out and seethed with righteous fury because those most important to them have been taken away. they're supposed to have these powers that help them protect each other but sometimes it comes in too late, sometimes they weren't close enough, sometimes they weren't quick enough, sometimes they just didn't know. the garde are so, so mad
but i really like when all the embers have died down and you're left with the ash. the floor is smudged with sloppy handprints that were once pummeling fists. they're still upset and they're summoning back that rage, they're slapping at the pavement and choking out screams. the battle isn't done, the fire needs to stay hot. but it's so small and fragile and exhausted and numb. you're left with a character completely smoldered by the wreckage of grief, full of clarity and disgust and mourning. and it always lasts too long for comfort
Lorien Legacies Hair
Because the characters weren't described enough, and I need you all to know how I see them. (Also, please appreciate Nines 2nd pic)
Six
Black, curly hair, but not tight or "poofy" curls. Comes an inch or two past her shoulders/to her upper back. I don't know many people with curly hair which made it even more difficult to find images of the style I had in mind that also looked natural.
Eight
Very dark brown fluffy curls that look messy, but in a good way. Since he was living on his own he wouldn't be going to a barber, and I think he would cut it just enough to keep it out of the way.
Nine
Mostly straight, black hair that comes down almost to his waist. It's fluffy after washing it, but it gets oily/greasy quickly.
Marina
Wavy that borders on slightly curly and comes down to her mid back. Brown hair that has some natural highlights in the summer.
Ella
Short and straight "faded" orange hair with brown undertones. I saw fanart of her with a bob and bangs while I was reading the books, and I will forever see her like that.
I just finished rereading the Lorien Legacies and Lorien Legacies Reborn books and decided to draw the Garde. I might scan this into my computer to color it, but I haven't decided yet.
LL fans, who is your favorite Garde?
