I have some thoughts

Gravity Falls has always had a special place in my heart because I too spent my summers being raised by my penny-pinching, crotchety, criminally negligent uncle. I was already 19 when the show premiered, but my sister and I were blown away by how much it reflected our own childhood.

This summer, my uncle passed away very suddenly. None of us got to say goodbye and he didn’t want a funeral, so it’s been hard to find a place to put the grief.

Then, a week later, the book of bill dropped and the Gravity Falls revival took off. I rewatched the show and it was exactly what I needed. The final episode where the kids hug Stan goodbye had me sobbing, it was a very cathartic proxy ‘goodbye.’

So I wanted to say thank you, to all my fellow fans, to the entire GF production team and to my uncle Steve. The guy that let a 10 year old drive his cherry red corvette and got our whole family banned from a fair for fist fighting a carnie.

Veilguard ending spoilers below, I have questions, comments and concerns.

Okay did I miss something?? Elgarnan and ghilannain weren’t the only gods left, there’s still 5 evanuris trapped in the fade. So why the fuck would solas need to tie his life to sustain the veil?

If killing their dragons killed them then ghilannain woulda dropped dead in act 2.

Also, there’s no reason for solas (and lavellan) to be imprisoned, the veil held while the evanuris were free, being tied to his life doesn’t mean he’s gotta stay in fade jail.

And what the actual fuck was mythal/flemmeth’s endgame????? She survived all those millennia, body jumped over and over and built up her power to what end??? If solas didn’t murk her what was her goal? Why the fuck didn’t she give him the “sorry for fucking up your life, you’re no longer in my service” speech at the end of inquisition??????? When she knew he was gonna kill her?????????????

I genuinely tried to like this game, and I def don’t agree with the crowd whining about it being ‘woke’ or ‘not dark enough,’ but I waited 10 fucking years for this and it feels like a rough draft.

Paint, I'm absolute trash at it but I love oil and acrylic paintings a lot.

11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what

Absolutely, I need music in the bg or I'll go insane. I also have to have music that matches the vibe of whatever I'm drawing, if it's a happy piece I can't listen to screamo while I'm working on it or it throws me off. So I end up with a ton of like, really niche and specific playlists and my liked songs are all over the place.

designing a new business card and dealing with my fam fucking hounding me about how much money I could make in graphic design and how it would be a 'real' career.

I've spent the last 20 years telling them I'd rather gargle liquid nitrogen than work in graphic design, but fuck me I guess. "You're so good at it when you're designing for yourself and your tastes!!!! This must translate into designing soulless corporate art!!"
