i really don’t have the time to be the way i am
people talk about how we need to bring back "don't feed the trolls" rhetoric for modern internet ragebait and I agree but also I think the most useful thing from the Old Internet that I miss is LURKING
be a lurker. just read things and think about them without feeling the need to weigh in or call out or disseminate everything you encounter. it's so nice and so freeing and it's a good way to learn things.
I have frequently regretted getting involved in shit that didn't involve me online but you know what I've never regretted doing? Lurking. literally lurk moar
"Obligation [kills] enthusiasm. ... curiosity collapsed under the weight of [duty.] ... autonomy fuels motivation, [and] the moment something becomes compulsory, it starts to feel like work.
[But] almost nothing in life is truly mandatory, only consequential. Freedom [means] recognizing that you're always choosing, and that every choice carries a cost."
all i want for 2026 is that gigantic rancid AI bubble to finally burst in such a catastrophic way that the consequences will be so good and i'll never have to see another AI generated image ever again
so far in the story, zoro gets to keep a katana if a woman has an influence when he gets it.
you will probably not look like a skinny white anime girl when you transition you will likely look like someone's mom and you need to realize how swag this is
I saw a picture of my mom last week and did a double take because we both realized how similar we look. skinny white anime girls are not real women but your mom is. I promise you look like a real woman
Shoutouts to the funniest possible tags on this post
Tip! You can make every conversation worse by using the phrase "I'm not pregnant enough for this." Try it right now!
You have to
Believe enough for the both of us
Captains get the last word
My brain conjured the next scene playing out like a rogue rpg game
angy
people on here are always saying “we NEED a story where the art of storytelling is abandoned” like ugh literary devices are soo annoying like that wouldn’t happen in real life that only happened to further the story (why is there story in my story) why would orpheus turn around when he was explicitly told not to why would icarus fly so close to the sun romeo&juliet catcher in the rye why are they so earnest why pour your heart and soul into anything why bother why cant all art be quippy logical monotony like my marvel movies there’s a void in my heart bc i refused to fill it and the curtains were blue
How ONE PIECE Took Over My Life -- Tom H. Jordan
The best part is how One Piece has now transcended beyond fiction and is affecting the real world that we live in. The Strawhat Flag has become a real symbol of revolutions, people are genuinely inspired by Luffy and are taking matters into their own hands just like he would. And while a revolution is never easy and more complex than what's happening in the story, the sheer willpower and desire for freedom are all the same.
hitting reblog, head in hands, the sigh heard round the world
Oda didn't let Cora and Belle-mere meet in canon because they'd be too iconic of a duo
