Tigers 5, Orioles 2 : Looking Upton : Justin Upton hits a Grand Slam off of reliever Mychal Givens in the 8th as the Tigers take their second game in a row from the O's. Jim Adducci hits his first HR of the year off of Kevin Gausman as Detroit takes a 1-0 lead in the 1st, but Tim Beckham homers to center (#14) off of Justin Verlander in the 2nd to to the game. Manny Machado homers to center (#19) in the 3rd off of Verlander to put the Orioles ahead 2-1 after 3. Verlander goes 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, he strikes out 10 & doesn't walk a man. Gausman allows just 1 run on 3 hits, a walk & 8 strikeouts, he turns it over to Mychal Givens in the 8th. Givens loads the bases before Upton takes him deep to left center (#20) for the Grand Slam. Bruce Rondon pitches 9th to close it out for the Tigers. Baltimore is now 8 games back in the AL East & 3.5 games back in the AL Wild Card.
