The cover SLAPS and it sounds super interesting, what the hell. The title means "The great mysteries of lost treasures", and it's basically the history behind some of the most well-known legendary/imaginary treasures, sunken treasures and land treasures, complete with illustrations

I really wanna read it but I don't know if I'll have time 🥹

A little after waking up today I had to scramble to find a specific cable for sis’ who’s heat-blanket cable is broken but we have the same model (it ended up being in the last place I looked because it always is) That meant going on the floor on a cushion with a torch and the grabbie to see what’s stored under the bed, it’s about 60cm (2 barbies high) of storage and chock full of my treasures from a few childhood toys to dvd boxsets and manga artbooks, my hair clip and jewelry collection that I don’t wear since I cut my hair short and got super sensitive to wearing anything against my skin that might rub or dig...

ok ok so no cable but lots more of the cardboard box hoard and this transparent container that I lost for a few years with my bratz precious bits!! I thought I’d purposefully given away this stuff to another collector because there was no way I’d be so meticulous about keeping it all and have it just vanish.

So that was a lovely surprise.

I took a photo of the bunny ears because I have no idea where that’s from, bratz bunny ears from various lines are plastic. I’m delighted to have found the bangles and mini cosmetics again. Bratz accessories were up there with rement for cuteness. I gave most of my bratz handbag collection to sis who had them pinned to a corkboard for several years as wall art because they’re intricately detailed.

There is an undescribable emotion attached to little things you know kid!you would have loved, finding a thing you thought was gone and had twinges about and another one that’s close to “kawaii” that goes off when you see replicas of real life things but done tiny. all three together gave me a dopamine hit large enough to withstand some painful thoughts today.

Lily stuck around for the cable scramble, watched me eat then trotted off to mum’s bed (yes, she’s managed to trade footwarming services for sleeping on the boss’ bed..this was a no dogs on furniture woman until recently) around 11pm.
