For context: my Crow is an assassin living in a terrible awful city that's carved out of a karst limestone formation. He's charming, quick-witted, and kind of insufferable. Also please don't look too closely at the bags under his eyes or the way he deflects all your personal questions or how he flinches if you raise your voice at him, he's fine, everything is fine, why does everyone keep asking him if he's okay when he clearly is, he just doesn't want to talk about it --

How many dolls do you have and which are your favorites?

Here in my apartment, I have 18 at the moment. Becoming 19 today with the addition of another vintage Barbie who is presently Out For Delivery (PACKIDGE)

I love them all for different reasons, but the one I'd be most loath to part with, if the chips were down, is probably Leonore.

She's a French fashion doll with a head by the DeHors firm, made c. 1865-70. Their dolls are incredibly rare, including disembodied heads, and even rarer to find marked- which she is. I got the head first, and several months later found an amazing antique wooden body with bisque arms and kid-leather stretched over the wood for added realism.

So basically the French fashion platonic ideal that I've been dreaming of since first learning about them in college. Also she is very good for hugging. So she gets the Doll I'd Save In A Fire If I Could Only Save One award.

Absolutely they do! I draw Sweet Pea so fluffy because she has her thicker cool-weather coat right now. Her fur grows in shorter in summer.

Okay, you know your comic about the girl who trades places with her reflection? Well, something funny about that was a bit after I first saw it, I found this song, and your comic immediately came to mind! Quite honestly the combination brought me to tears as the story played in my mind.

But anyways, if you've got the time, I have to recommend the song "Mirror Self" by SJ Tucker to you, because I find it so magical when I can connect music with my favorite art pieces, and think you would enjoy it too.
