i like the idea of simon pointing out little flowers and going "wow pretty" and piggy being the NERD(lovingly) he is he yaps about what flower it is and stuff about it

they're also both outcasts with physical disabilities so i feel like they'd bond over their loneliness and develop a friendship over it

this might be ooc but i find simon talking to piggy and saying "jack isn't that bad i swear" and piggy not buying it for shit very funny

the idea of them caring for the littluns is also very nice too

This might just be me but I feel like Simon was allowed on both sides. Like nobody really payed any mind to Simon, he was kinda just the kid that helped around with anything. He was also probably one of the only boys who had total freedom to go where ever on the island because from what I remember from the book he never offically took sides.
