I recently watched ELOD and have become more than a bit obsessed with the 3L3W world (and especially Feng Jui and Dijun)! I've read Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and The Pillow Book. But I cannot find a completed English translation of Lotus Step! I know you have a blog linked that has a couple of chapters, but I am desperately hoping you can hook me up with a finished one!
Unfortunately, there's no complete translation of Lotus Step as of yet, as far as we have been able to find. This may be for a variety of reasons.
Firstly, to be fair, the book itself finished publishing I believe within the last year or so. Secondly, it is a tremendously long book. It would probably be a tedious and time consuming process to actually finish translating it even now that the content in mandarin is finished (and would likely take years, if a translator is to begin now!). Thirdly, I know that because of Tang Qi's alleged plagiarism accusations (we've posted previously in a limited manner about this on the blog though we try not to readdress it repeatedly, and I'm sure you can also form your own opinions from your own research), many translators are hesitant to work on her novels.
Your best bet, in this case, if you wish to read this book immediately, may be machine translation, at this point. Which may be unfortunately hard to decipher and not the best quality of reading, but that's how Admin Lins read most of this book, and I think it's understandable for the most part.
Anonymous asked: what's a flower demon and what does a flower master do? i didn't read any of the books and i just happened to find your blog bc i loved lian song and cheng yu in the show and wanted to know more abt them but i don't remember their occupations being mentioned in the show!
A flower demon is essentially a flower (plant!) that has either absorbed the spirituality of their environments or otherwise cultivated a sentience. These flowers can continue to cultivate into humanoid form!
The flower master is essentially a god that commands and protects all the flowers in the realms. Typically in mythology the equivalent of such a role has duties such as making sure each flower blooms and wilts during the correct seasons, etc. etc.
Hi guys !! Would you guys be able to let me know if Shaowan and moyuan get brought up in vol 4? How does it transition from the end of lotus step to how bodhi fate might potentially start?
I legit cannot wait for lotus step to get fully translated, I've been going through weibo for minor spoilers and this might be even more interesting than peach blossomss. Also I miss you guys and thanks for posting!!
The primary side ship focus of this novel volume was Xie Ming and Sejia, so while we got a little bit of Shao Wan and Mo Yuan (I think just a brief mention of why Shao Wan did something in particular as she did, alongside Xie Ming, no direct Mo Yuan content), but it was those two's whose story we saw a lot in the last volume. As well as sprinkling in of the oldest Xie twin, Xie Hualou. We got more on page instance of them in the Today and Yesterday extra, when Zuti came back. She came back somewhere in Kunlunxu while Mo Yuan wasn't there, so when one of the disciples reported a fire that was suspiciously like a phoenix's fire, he went running along with Bai Qian there. Shao Wan came back first and Mo Yuan saw her phoenix fly off without looking back, so he went off after her in his dragon form. That's all there is.
We also aren't sure if the Xie twins novels will be before Bodhi Fate (I assume, they'll be like maybe the size of the extras like we got here or for Dongfeng).
As for anyone translating it, if you hear about someone doing that, send in an ask here so we can link them, if not, we are unsure if anyone will do so beyond the few chapters on the one site we have linked, given the past way people have gone about this author after accusations of plagiarism.
Thank you for supporting us since we've started this blog, your messages are always enjoyable to answer!
"They were both left alone in a time without each other. She was yesterday and he was today. It took them 60,000 years to finally see yesterday become today. They were finally able to meet again."

"The young man paused for a moment. "Do you know what I want to do now?" Before she could answer, he whispered, "I want to cut open your heart and see why it is so cruel to me.""
-- Lian Song to Zuti, Three Lives Three Worlds: the lotus step book 4
A bit of information that was confirmed about Xie Ming today when poking around the Bodhi Fate's Weibo Super Topic (no, I don't know why it ended up there instead of the Lotus Step):
Xie Ming is a phoenix, it seems likely her two children are as well.
Xie Guzhou and Xie Hualou were asexually conceived.
They are twins.
Xie Ming gave herself a c-section to get them out, without any pain medication.
Xiluo helped take care of the twins after their birth while Zuti helped Xie Ming with something.
why the three lives three worlds step lotus volume 4 seems like it is incomplete... it only has 13 chapters.
Can i get the link for the remaining chapters of volume 4 of step lotus in chinese.

The one currently linked in our master post at this time is all Tang Qi had arranged with the publisher to post online at the time before the physical copies of the final book and the last chapter. The rest has yet to be released as an ebook/audiodrama. It should be coming either this month or in autumn.
